What a difference an update makes. Now that i have ICS (OTA), this lapdock is a whole new machine. ICS on the Bionic makes this lapdock closer-looking to a laptop than I would have thought. It’s quite exciting. And it’s pretty quick. I didn’t see any lagging wth a good connection. I’m so glad I bought one when they were cheap.

I have one and loved the concept it cost alot less than a tablet. I got mine for $149.00 and I didn’t have to have an additional data plan. I really like using it. figured something was up when the upgrade to Ice Cream sandwich took away the firefox browser. Still works well for having a keyboard, larger screen. Bummed.

I had planned on upgrading to the HD. No need now. I’ll stick with the RAZR until someone else comes out with a similar solution. It’s unfortunate. The dock worked well in our business environment. I’ve been using Motorolla products exclusively for more than 5 years. Loyalty can be a truly fleeting thing.

All the phone manufacturers would have to agree on a video output jack for that to work. Android is not Apple, so that isn’t going to happen.

Motorola should recycle the OG lapdock design for a chromebook. The only thing wrong was the trackpad and the performance.

I never got it, or even had a phone that supported it. I will say though that the idea is awesome, and I would hope that they expand the idea and build upon it.

I picked up a lapdock on clearance for $50 and gave it to my wife to use with her RAZR. She loves it. If the dock had been $100, I doubt she would like it as much. At $200 she would have hated it. Excellent idea, poor pricing and execution.

i bought my lapdock for my bionic (which was over hyped and not supported), it ran slow and then i got a razr maxx and with ics and and a dremel this lapdock actually works really good, i like it and that sucks that they would kill such a good idea. anyways i still love moto. best products ever. have yet to break one and i don’t use a case. built tough!

It had to die for the same reason we’ll never see the Padfone in the US. The major US carriers won’t stand for their customers freely using the data they have paid for as they choose. It’s only coincidence that Moto’s implementation sucked.
