Guess I didn't look closely enough as I didn't see the "real" gems among these $.25 apps.

Just purchased Ski Safari late last night, and wow is the game highly worth the quarter price tag. It's just a very solid game, super fun overall. I'd have payed full price.

You're basically skiing down a mountainside, doing backflips(to gain a boost of speed), getting powerups, and even using different creatures and things of sorts as a sort of temporary upgrade to your skies(hence "powerups"), like a Yeti, a Penguin, and even a bird that gives you flight, soaring through the clouds, collecting coins along the way. This game is sort of like Jetpack Joyride in the sense that you collect coins and compete specific objectives to level up.

And all of this is occurring while skiing away from an impending doom in the form of an avalanche that's trying to crush you and end your journey. It's all about how far you can travel before the avalanche kills you. Every backflip, powerup, etc. gives you additional points towards your highscore.

Plus the game offers catchy music and very clean graphics(honestly best played on a tablet(Nexus 7 anyone?)).

It's a "not-to-miss" game. Download it! Highly recommended!

Well I dont do a lot of streaming of music or video. I use facebook and GPS but that does not amount to much. But sometimes if the Bears are playing on sunday night football and im at work I like to use the NFL app to watch the game and that could use a lot of data in one night.
