I am learning. lol. Could some one explain teathering? I pay for the hot spot thru att. I want to know if there is a way I can use that hot spot without data charge to supply wifi to my home or do I have to keep my current internet carrier and pay for both.

Thanks for letting us know about SVTP. I was upset when FoxFi stopped working, but this works fine with JB.

verizon jellybean update stopped foxfi from working. The free version of SVTP does work, so I’ll be spending $15 to screw verizon anyday!

I have no idea. The way that I did it, turn on bluetooth on both and pair them. Then on your transformer, it has an option to connect to the internet from your phone. Don’t have both in front of me to be more detailed in the instructions.

Hmm… yea my OG Droid was rooted, but my Transformer Prime was not. Is it not possible without rooting both?

With my OG Transformer, I could turn on bluetooth on both and tether without any program or charges. That was with my OG Droid and Droid Razr, though both are rooted.

They are only required to allow tethering if you are on a tiered data plan. If you are on an unlimited data plan, they are allowed to block tethering. Strange, and not intuitive, but that was the ruling.

if you are on JB, run a rom that supports tether. im using peter alfonso’s bugless beast rom and no issues with it!

I could be wrong, but I thought that I recently read that the FCC determined that tethering is required to be free as per the conditions of Verizon licensing the LTE bandwidth

native tethering (using a toggle) FTW. Works just fine.
