The post says the build is stock but rooted however when I installed it I lost root. I regained it by using the galaxy nexus toolkit. Just a heads up though…I did lose the use of my franco kernel and overclocking.

you don’t have to wipe anything, once you install zip from SD card and reboot it serves as an update and you’re fine. i call it installing it dirty. (as long as you were already on 4.1 before going to 4.1.1)

Stupid question, but after I flashed this and rooted, the default messaging app notifications do not work.I use Handcent for the most part, but I want to try the new expanded notifications. I looked all over XDA to no avail. Any thoughts?

Well, i downloaded it and it worked it took twice to do it but im running jelly bean and its running real smooth can’t argue about it, i think it’s better than the gs3 no lag whatsoever an on top of the nova launcher launcher it’s. Gorgeous

Do you happen to be using Swiftkey keyboard? I had the same battery issue when I went from 4.0.4 to 4.1.1, uninstalled Swiftkey and now i’m getting a full day of battery.

Yes you have to wipe and start from scratch. Google Play will keep a record of all your downloaded programs and gmail will keep all your contacts, so you can reconstruct your info I always video my home screens and folders with their contents before wiping, so I can reconstruct what I’ve created in the prior version.
