I’d guess it will charge at a similar rate to normal chargers. It just pushes the power wirelessly, but the amount should be the same. Should also charge all the way in use just like a normal charger. You can’t pick it up though – then it stops charging, making it inconvenient for taking calls.

If the Samsung version utilizes Resonance charging you will be able to use the phone a few feet from the pad and still have it charge the phone.

They said it was the first resonance wireless charger back when they announced the phone. Few days/weeks later they announced it charging system would be out in September.

I was able to pick up a wireless charging battery cover for the SIII yesterday at Verizon. Part # SAMI535B-WLDR (blue). They are selling it for $39.99 but with my discount it came out to around $31.00.
It was not on display but in the back.
Now I just need to find an inexpensive charging pad.

How long is this going to take to charge wirelessly, and if your using the phone at the same time of charge is it still going to charge all the way full while in use?
Also you can get a wireless charge mat that can charge up to 5 devices for $40-60 and they can charge anything with rechargeable batteries

How is this useful? It costs a lot and probably can’t even be plugged into a normal usb port. Just more cables and junk to have floating around.
