Archos leaves their customers in the dust too. No update support what-so-ever. I have a 5 internet tablet and they left it on 1.6. Not even a 2.2 update. So stupid. I loved their devices but they really don’t care about support. Drives me nuts.

This is exactly the killer here. I am stilled miffed that my Nexus 7 does not have HDMI out or a MicroSD slot, which does make this device have potential, but not with a SINGLE core processor. My venerable dual core 7″ Acer A100 running ICS is still a better alternative to this new tablet from Archos and I only paid $190 for it on Black Friday.

Really the only thing worth while is the hdmi out, its nice to be able to use this to watch movies and videos straight to an hd tv.

Resolution and screen real estate are two completely different things. Just because it has the resolution of a 10in screen doesn’t mean you can display as much and have it be as usable.

It’s like a 720p screen on a 4in phone. It may make text and graphics sharper, but you’re not going to display as much as on a 720p 7in tablet and still be usable.

IMy g/F’s iPad2 is very comfortable to use and displays more on the screen at one time. Not sure how it’s resolution compares to the N7 exactly.

I don’t understand all these people that complain about the screen size when its the same resolution as all the 10.1″ tablets except the Acer A700 and the Asus TF700. Unless you plan on buying one of those two, it’s silly to say that the 7″ screen size it what makes it not good enough for you.

So the fact that the screen on the Nexus 7 is vastly superior than this one is a drawback to you just because its 2.7″ smaller? And this is not a cheap, decent product, it’s just a cheap product, period. The GalaxyTab 2 7.0 is a cheap, decent tablet, but not this.

This is an absolutely horrible product in comparison to a Nexus 7 (or any other Android tablet at that price). What is wrong with Archos? They actually deserve to be sued by Apple for this horrible device, as it certainly looks more like an iPad than any of the Galaxy Tabs! Pathetic. I can only imagine the disappointment on the faces of the 3 or so people that would waste their money on this junk.

You are the awesome! The non-expandable storage was the only reason I haven’t gotten a N7. Granted I’d still prefer a SD slot but for $150 less than the next Tegra3, it’ll do.
