Haven’t called myself. But reading around it looks like the responses from Google support in conjunction with street date rumors are ALL over the place. The street date rumors I’ve seen though all seem to point to tomorrow (7/12). There’s a great unboxing video that was shared by the Nexus Google+ page which feels like a commercial more than an actual unboxing.

One of the commenters in the post had this to say though:

“I was going to order one from play today, however they said that I would not recieve it by the release day and it was 2 day shipping. so take it for what its worth.”

and another

“I called Google this morning and they said they are shipping today for the orders that were placed in June”

FYI: Just spoke with Google about my order and the rep said it should ship next week. Here’s hoping that its actually today or tomorrow.

Gamestop is also going to be selling the nexus 7 tablet too, I haven’t checked if the preorders have started.

I just called google support and the lady said that they couldn’t cancel any orders so she would assume that they are going to be shipping really soon… same old story….frick!

According to gamestop Google has put a hold on the product. So even if they had them in their backroom’s they couldnt sell them without breaking street date. However Yesterday night they had said They would be out on 7/12. Sounds like google is moving the date back.

Just checked and my card was charged, I called again and got the same answer about the shipping intercept. She said they are getting these ready to ship soon but would not say when

I just don’t understand, you ordered today and they told you that. I ordered on the first and i’ve yet to even be charged yet…. and google wallet still says nothing besides the order was sent to google.

So I’m thinking these are shipping tonight….here’s why:

I ordered today, after about three hours I realized that I forgot my apt # so I called the support number. The only solution that they could provide was to place a carrier intercept on the shipper to try to change the address or get it sent back to the warehouse. Now I’m not sure how this would be the only possible solution if it was actually shipping in 1-2 weeks???? Maybe I’m just to optimistic

My card was charged today and I called Google to ask about when it would be shipping. The rep told me they are currently putting shipping labels on them and getting ready to load them on UPS trucks. SO they are getting ready to be shipped as far as I can tell. I wouldn’t be surprised if we got them on the 12th. I’d also be happy with the 13th, just as long as I get it before the weekend.

At Staples, you also get a $35 credit towards purchases and you save shipping. about $242 for the 16.
I’m also gonna be pissed. I ordered mine on the 27th. and no activity at my Google wallet.

Every consumer that spends $200+ on an item deserves to know when they will receive the item. It should not be a guessing game. @comiskeybum:disqus might be a little more dramatic with his frustrations than others but we are all allowed to express those moments in an open forum. I’ve really come to love the DL community and I would hate to think we can’t express our moments of frustration without disheartening you.
