Same here. I can see the potential the Q has, but I’m not ready to pony up the cash for it. I’ll give it time to come into it’s own like Android has (and more importantly, I have the funds stashed away to spend on it) lol.

I wish this thing had a Tegra 3 chip so we can actually have a competitor for console gaming. I’d consider the $300 price if I was able to enjoy Shadowgun and play my N64/PSX emulators in 1080p.

Well, this clears up a bit of confusion for me and is also very disappointing. I was so blown away by the demos that I did not even realize that it did not have a Google TV like launcher. So, it really is just a plain Google Play media streaming device by default? What a major fail if that is true. If I cannot play video files from other devices on my network and SAN and launch other apps such as Pandora, IHeartRadio, or PowerAmp it is of no use to me. How do they ever expect to sell it to the non-hacker masses? Come on Google, awesome hardware and completely lacking software, that sounds more like Motorola than you.

Leave it to XDA to add features to a Google device that should have been there from the start. And why is it that techies (present company excluded) can’t operate a camera. The blair witch movie wasn’t even that choppy.

True however all I would use the Q for would be Netflix and music…which I can do on PS3 and have Bluray player and gaming system for cheaper. Why spend that much for “potential”

My real concern is he had to push the browser and then install the flash app. Adobe is blocking new installs after the 15th of August.

needs more I think for the hefty pricetag. If every tv and pc and device could use it in one household I could see it being worth while, but it seems you need individual units for every room, from what I gathered. I.d still like to see a full list of what I can do with it too.

The problem I see is most of this potential will be handled by the next gen of GTV. Unless that’s not going so well and this is their answer.
