The problem is that Apple can find another way to produce their product, even if they have to do it themselves; they have the money. Samsung, on the other hand, is not going to find another customer like Apple; not in the next decade or so. I have no doubt that Apple has a contingency plan for Samsung (and might be executing that plan as we speak). Therefore, it’s in the best interest for Samsung to play this out in court and not at the negotiating table.

They are definitely going about this the right way with asking for Google’s assistance.

I believe the joint venture would include the hardware that Samsung proves to Apple, other infringements that Google hasn’t has slapped Apple with (notification bar).
You are assuming that Samsung would be the one paying money out. Not to mention Apple DOES care about the money, or they wouldn’t be filing law suits all over the globe to stop Samsung/Google sales.

What’s the problem with Apple “patent-trolling” every other successful phone out there? They’re trying to make the iPhone the one phone everyone has. You know what happens when Apple controls the markets? First look at Final Cut X and how after they screwed over the editing population they told them to bugger off. Look at the nightmares Lion has been causing. From kernel panics to lag to completely dropping support for Rosetta, it’s practically the Windows Vista of UNIX. And lastly, don’t forget those signal issues with the iPhone 4 that Apple addressed with everything they know about innovation in a nutshell: “use a phone case.”

Imagine if a toilet seat manufacturer was doing the same thing Apple is trying to do. They’d get the government to ban every other make of toilet seat, and then raise their prices while reducing build quality. In the end, you’re stuck falling in the crapper.

It’s not like I’m fathering some sort of conspiracy here, it’s just the way things are. If anyone ever thought twice about what they purchased nowadays they’d realize the new Macbooks are being held together by glue.

The tech world needs a common enemy, my friend. I don’t mind watching them crash an burn, albeit, the catalyst is taking longer than expected. As far as your ‘enhancement’ statement, one example is with their hard drives. The Apple edition of a Seagate hard drive has one extra connection on it where a single copper cable is attached from the HDD to the case of the iMac. All it does is serve as a sensor (I believe a sensor to [1] make sure the HDD is in all the way and [2] patrol temp management). For the one piece of copper, you pay $300 more for a hard drive.

@ NotMyBro – name on thing they copied? Making devices with metal bodies? Using wafers and gold to create circuit boards? Using glass to protect the screen? Using their “own” wireless radios. The ironic thing is apple doesn’t own their radios and licensed it from Samsung. Hmmm. What about patenting/copywriting the term OS. Apparently apple thinks their computers are pcs. PC stands for personal computer, meaning a computer that is personal and used for personal use. Oh wait I forgot apple coined PC with their Power PC line up in the 90s and early 2000s. Oh wait they even wrote 1984. Do the now manage the olympics? Or should I say they produced 2001 a space Odyssey…….

If anyone deserves to have a product banned, it is Apple. Why? They don’t make the screens, they don’t own the radios on their devices (Motorola, Samsung, Nokia, etc do)

I do have to say Apple makes aesthetically pleasing devices, but not anything that is worth the money. 2000 dollars for a laptop that has shitty graphics compared to a ASUS gaming laptop which is a 1000 dollars cheaper which has a faster HDD, better display, a bluray drive, faster processor, more ram, and better video chipset.

What about the Nexus 7? Google and Asus is making virtually no profit of it. Why? Because they care about customers and what customers can afford. But it is 200 bucks and the ipad is 400 (at its cheapest). According to Cnet, PCmag, BGR, and Engadget the Nexus 7 tab out performs the new ipad.

What about macs not having viruses? Oh wait that has been done.

Hmm, I own two pairs of scissors which are different brands. Yet they are oddly familiar. Because devices that perform the same tasks generally look similar retards. Most fanboys of any sort are restarted. Why? Because they don’t bother to research and all that matter is research and experience.

I have both. I had three ipods which all worked decently except for the fact that syncing it to itunes forces the songs to be deleted if the song(s) are no longer in the library.

No sd card expansion? Not removable battery?

My point of all this trolling is to get one of two things around.

1. That any fanboy is generally retarted (Android, Google, Apple, etc)
2. That Apple’s basis of suing and having these devices are way off. Its about technology not looks. I mean c’mon, are we in Highschool? Actually I just graduated xD

Finally its time for google to strike back! I personally believe google would win in a court room against apple! I mean good lord how can apple defend against accusations of them copying the notification bar? On another note, people saying boycott apple, really! I mean yes they’re mobile products are bad but if you want one BUY ONE! Personally, I love their computers, typing this on my Macbook Pro, the macs just simply work!!! However their phones and iPads DO NOT! There are sooo many limitations on them (my dad owns an iPad and an iPhone and will never buy another because EVERYTHING requires an app and an app costs money!)

In North Korea the land (iOS) is nice and pleasant on the eyes, but in order to live there (use the iOS), you have to be controlled by the government (Apple). That means that you have to drive the same make and model car (iPhone) or truck (iPad) as everyone else. You can only wear clothes (use apps) that are approved by the government. The citizens of North Korea (iFans) blindly follow their government believing the propaganda that the government is spouting. They believe that the government can do no wrong and is always looking out for their best interest and protecting them. The government would like to abolish all countries (competition) that oppose it.In America, the land (Android) is also beautiful and nice to live in, however the government (Google) gives you more freedom to drive whatever car (Android phone) or truck (Android Tablet) you want as long it is deemed safe for the roads (Google approved). The government allows you to wear (use) whatever clothes (apps) you like as long as you are willing to deal with the consequences of bad fashion (malware). The citizens of America (Fandroids) think the government of Korea (Apple) is too oppressive and should stop trying to attack other countries like South Korea (HTC) and Japan (Samsung) even though their real issue is with America. North Korea knows that it would not be able to defeat America, so it does not even try to attack it.
