I'm SO confussed! I am thinking of maybe getting the Sammy S3! Wow! 4.8 screen! Then I always loved the Moto DROID MAXX! And now the DROID RAZR HD coming out....to replace the Droid MAXX! So ok 13 mp? How about the screen size? Or the battery? Gee is it going to be the same awesome 21 hrs or more maybe? How awesome would that be? But Im curious bout the screen size! It would be nice if they maybe made it oh 4.6 at least. I have the Droid X. Do love it, but I am torn between the S3 coming out and maybe now this Droid RAZR HD! I cant wait to see the SPECS on that phone. Help! I cant decide! lol

There's so many different factors that go into processor design that it's hard to look for any specific thing. Yes, in general, a CPU with a newer architecture will generally be faster than an older generation. All of the currect mobile processors are based off of ARM architecture. As technology advances and trasistor size shrinks, manufacturers can pack more components on the same die, which is one reason why two different processors of the same clock speed don't have the same performance. More performance per clock cycle than older generations. Best thing to do when making a decision on what you want is read reviews. Should be easy to tell what's good and bad.

Unless the build quality has been seriously stepped up a few notches with the S3 it's not going to hold a candel to the HD Razr (unless moto somehow screws up the build quality of it which past experience shows is unlikely).

Ditto what others have said - BUILD QUALITY (and radios)...I've been through a ton of Android phones (I have a number of VZW lines of service, so I can change every few months) and absolutely NONE come even remotely close to the build quality of Motorola devices; they're just EXTREMELY well built...Other phones just seem like plastic kids toys next to a motorola (only exception to that I see are the iPhone 4's; but I hate iOS/Apple)...Every non-moto phone I've tried went back within a few days (a few within a few hours) and I've tried a lot of them.

I still don't buy phones with any consideration to their cameras, but I must admit, the cameras on moto phones to date just plain stink (including the one on my maxx)...My GF has a 4S and the camera on that is just as good as my 10mp canon point n' shoot (quite good)...Would be nice to be able to ditch my point n shoot all together if my phone had a good camera but I'm still not going to base my smartphone choice on that in any way; just again, would be nice.

First off, Alexander is right, 90% (heck, I'd say probably closer to 99%) of smartphone owners could give a rip about the boot loader (including me)...Additionally, how does that keep it stuck on GB? I'm NOT a developer, couldn't write a line of code to save my life, but I was able to put ICS on my Maxx with zero problem at all; so not sure what you are referring to about being stuck on GB?
