Wasn't so much referring to you specifically, rather the fact that the screen is always the first issue to come up when people point out the "issues" with the Bionic - I was pointing out the positives of the display. Someone who uses their device outside on a daily basis might be very interested in the outdoor readability.

As for the colors? I'm not so sure they are muted, they seem pretty accurate compared to some of the oversaturated displays they seem to stick in devices these days. It's just that we get used to the oversaturated colors, that "normal" colors seem muted.

See Tony, what I believe is happening is a multifaceted problem that affects users that has as much to do with the cellular base station equipment at the local cell tower level as it does with the devices themselves. I honestly believe that Verizon has a wide variety of base station equipment; some brand new and others woefully outdated. And I doubt they even have the same firmwares running on all of their equipment. Evidence of this is shown in the changelog for one of the Bionic updates (can't remember exactly which one) - it specifically refererences a fix in the way the device's radios talk to certain base station hardware (IIRC, the fix was for connecting to Lucent branded LTE hardware).

My lack of issues may simply be due to the fact that my area was skipped in the initial LTE rollout, and we came on line months later. Add to that the fact that Verizon was extra adamant about getting its LTE network working well in this area due to pressure from all the rich folks coming into the area for horse racing season - I am about 20 miles from Saratoga Springs, NY which is known for horse racing.

Now don't get me wrong, I have seen data issues on my Bionic at some points - but in all those cases, it turned out to be a network outage.

Now, as for the ICS ROMs? Well, those are unreliable for me as well, datawise. But that is due to a kernel/baseband/OS mismatch, not the traditional handoff issue.

I also notice that you pointed out that ALL 4G LTE devices since the TBolt have had issues. Which only points to a network level issue as opposed to a device level issue. Think about a typical corporate LAN. If one or two devices have connectivity issues talking to the switch, it's probably flaky devices. If a majority of the devices connected to the LAN are having issues, it's more likely a configuration issue on the switch or somewhere else on the network. The problem is, a nationwide 4G network is much more challenging to troubleshoot, simply due to its size. It doesn't help that the LTE network is still a work-in-progress, so variables are always being introduced. And it's unlikely that VZW will devote alot of time to upgrading the older sites, until they are done bringing the entire network online.
