DROID RAZR and MAXX “New Software” Invites Sent, Time for Ice Cream Sandwich

Here it is, folks. A soak test or “preview of a new software” is headed to owners of the DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX courtesy of Motorola. This would be the one that we are sort of expecting to be Ice Cream Sandwich. After seeing Best Buy systems announce that both phones along with the HTC Rezound would see Android 4.0 next week from Verizon, what else could this be?

Hi,

Thanks for joining the Motorola Feedback Network. We are inviting owners of the Motorola Droid RAZR and the Droid RAZR Maxx on Verizon to participate in an early preview of a new software release, and provide feedback. If you are not currently using a Droid RAZR and the Droid RAZR Maxx, please excuse and ignore this email.

Next week should be good. Usually when these evaluation periods happen, we tend to see updates push to the public within a week or so assuming no major bugs are found.

Cheers ___ and ___!

Wow. There is some true hostility within the android community. Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

  • Vaneric8

Glad something new is coming gingerbread isnt that great

I now believe this is real.

  • Jslafarr

It looks like there will be no peace…this razr / gnex debate is about as bad as android vs apple.
I tested out the razor before the gnex came out and I enjoyed them both.
I just like the style of the gnex.Huge bezels annoy me.But otherwise great phone.

  • http://profiles.google.com/bellyhop Jorian W

How do you sign up for previews anyway? I would like to do this on my Bionic when the time comes.

  • Chris420o

Gnex trolls are the worst…the razr was quicker(not as smooth) better made better hardware and i dunno what is wrong with your eyes but i liked the razr screen better the colors were sooo much brighter thrn gnex which seem washed…now this coming from a man who had a razr n has a gnex now…if the razr had the screensize/softkeys/ics/and especially dev support of the gnex you wouldnt be able to see how far id punt this gnex….be real people domt be trolls…razr = better phone…. gnex = funner phone(dev support amazing) end of story…now when the fighter comes out i may.need to upgrade from my gnex

  • Boneebone

Moto had no choice but to update the older phones it promised with ICS before the Droid Fighter is released as not to incite a riot.

  • Udispyn

why do Gnex fans have to come in here and bomb our comments, the article doesn’t say anything about Gnex..This is obviously for Moto and Verizon, I mean when I see an article about the Nexus, I don’t give a crap because I don’t  own one….It’s getting old.

    • KaseyLa2da

Unfortunately all of this bickering was caused by Lacokanostra, who is actually enamored with HTC and is a well know sh1t starter around here, so honestly he should have shut up and stayed out of it. Instead he caused a pretty good fight between a bunch of people who own ANDROID PHONES (same team Farva, same team.) I have a GNex. It’s not God’s phone, and i guess the only reason I post sometimes is because it gets old to hear people bash something that I really enjoy and makes me happier and my life easier. The radios aren’t the best but 4G has been WAY better since the last outage a few weeks ago. The camera isn’t the best, but it’s taken both better and worse pics than my point and shoot, and taken both better and worse pics than my OG Droid. I’ve dropped it close to 10 times (naked, no cover), onto concrete, wood floors, and the tile at work. It still runs like new and looks damn close. My last two phones were Motorola and I plan on being as hard on this phone as I was on those. Sorry for bombing your comment. I have no beef with you. I’m just defending something that I own and love and believe gets a bad rap. The end.

  • InvaderDJ

I’m interested to see what Motorola does with ICS and Blur, hopefully it’s good. It’s too early for Google to have much influence on them.unfortunately so I doubt there will he any game changers.

With the way verizon handles its bloatware apps, I wouldnt be surprised if they got rid of the Disable App feature.

what with verizon being dicks about 4.0.4 on the nexus.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joe-Buck/100003482949493 Joe Buck

well my 4th nexus will be here monday, they said there was no comparable phone to trade it for, but with ics on the maxx, now thats another story, will be the best phone on the market, maybe they will off it to me as a trade

  • Stewie

    New BluR bloat

    • Blackmagick20

      Dumbest comment yet!

  • beefalo

    How about some  6.12.173.XT912 to 6.14.75.XT912 :P

  • RedOne1

I wish I could put everyone here in a big room and have you guys battel for your lives just like the Hunger Games.

  • Wakefinance

man, so much nexus hate lol.  razr luvrs get so defensive!!  look, your phone is good too, but saying it’s better than the nexus in ways that are just factually incorrect makes you look childish.  let me help you out.  it’s built with better materials, has a camera that can take higher res pics, has a better battery (if you have the maxx), and potentially has better radios.

here’s how it’s not better.  it doesn’t have a better screen,  it doesn’t have a faster processor, it doesn’t have faster 4g, it doesn’t have better dev support.  using those examples to bolster your phone are stupid

    • Counsel Dew

Look… don’t feel bad that I think my Razr Maxx is better than my GNex… My Maxx can make a phone call where the other person hears me during the whole conversation-thetefore, the Maxx is a better phone. Just be happy you don’t experience that issue with your phone…

      • Wakefinance

i agree that the nexus doesn’t do the best with phone calls.  i just use my phone as a phone so infrequently that it doesn’t bother me.  if i were calling people all the time i would absolutely want to have a razr maxx

        • http://www.facebook.com/steve0mac Steven Cornea

I know 4 people who have a nexus including me and I dont know where you people are getting the crappy phone calls from, it sounds fine to me.

          a bad phone perhaps?

          • Wakefinance

it’s not call quality.  i sometimes drop calls in places where my x2 held on strong.  it’s only in places that have ridiculously bad signal, but even so the moto held on a little better

  • d4owner

Omg,,where is the love for the Droid 4? It’s the best QWERTY smartphone at the moment with a pretty good sizable amount of owners but yet it gets very little attention. Wtf?

    • Droidfann

It’ll definitely be the next phone to get it, being almost identical to a razr, Even photons from last july are getting ICS, and they get in 3q 2012. Droid 4 will get before them

      • indiecognition

Droid 4 hardware seems almost the same as the RAZR.  They have different physical layouts, but judging by the same root techniques working and the very similar specs I think they have very similar components.  So hopefully that’ll make for ICS coming to the D4 either at the same time as the full OTA release for the RAZR/MAXX or at least very shortly after that.

I love the icons that app groups have on ICS on the Nexus, and really hope Blur doesn’t screw up that nice visual gui feature.  Right now on the D4 folders have an ugly, generic icon…but on stock ICS the first three apps in the group are layered into a nice pretty icon so you can see some of what’s inside.

In the meantime, I think I’ll have to settle for an Oreo ICS…http://www.thelifefiles.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/oreo.jpg at least they’re better than iPhones.

  • Zebra

This just makes the Razr Maxx that much more appealing to switch to from my GNex. But I think I will just wait for the Droid Fighter, assuming that will be out in a month or two. Blasphemy, I know.

  • Sga

What about the Bionic? oh wait…already rommed it with ICS. carry on.

    • http://twitter.com/bboyairwreck Eric Chee

but HW acceleration is essential to me =/ im running it too but would be nice if we could just get these things

  • J Guido85

I sold my gnex for the maxx and I’m glad I did. I don’t keep my phones long, so jellybean means nothing to me. The razr maxx has a superior build, better connectivity, much MUCH better battery life and a better screen. Ill tell you that I was let down by the gnex. The screen was made of a cheap glass clearly, because it scratched, the connectivity to networks was a joke and the battery was un bearable. Maxx is a better phone.

  • WickedToby741

I’m eager to see if there were any changes made to Webtop like the rumored Webtop version 2. The Bionic shouldn’t be far behind the Razr since they practically share the same internals with the Razr just being a much better designed phone with a better screen.

  • http://twitter.com/STEV3_TC_2010 Steve de la Prida

I dont know what to believe is it ICS or just .181. I mean there are .181 builds out and about. Then there’s that Best Buy screen shot of ICS update.

  • Ares Jones

Look will whoever it is sending me this viral mind infecting game please please please contact me directly in a more privacy than opensky…great theory partner lil sis, big bro

  • Counsel Dew

Do let me add that if my Razr Maxx starts having issues where the other party can’t hear me after I get ICS…. I’ll be pissed :D

  • Counsel Dew

The ONLY issue I had with MY GN was that the other part would stop hearing me after 1 minutes or so during a phone call.  The software and hardware were great.  However, a phone that can’t work as a phone (have a two-way conversation) is useless…  Until that is fixed, my GN sits on the bedside table…  Too bad, I had to get a new phone (Razr Maxx).

  • Lance Seaman

if you fools would look at another sight the best buy image shows in bold letters ANDROID 4.O ICE CREAM SANDWICH UPDATE. Do any of you do research before talking trash. Also almost every review written said that the only thing Gnex h had over Razr was ics and that once Razr received the update for 4.0 it would blow gnex the f**k out of the water.

    • shooter50

The Razr didnt need ICS to blow the GNEX out of the water. Radios that work did that.

      • Azndan4

Sry dude. My radios work fine.  Call me and we’ll talk about it.

    • Liderc

You’re kidding right?  The Nexus’ hardware is newer and better than everything inside the Razr, including the battery performance and the screen.  Not to mention ICS was designed with the Nexus and it’s hardware in mind.

Get a new hobby, trolling isn’t your strong suit.

  • Trophynuts

ice cream blurwich coming to a phone near you next week.

    • Spc Hicks09

      U mad bro?

  • KevinC

    enjoy blur, suckers.

    • KevinC

oh, and all of your bloatware.

      • Spc Hicks09

I will definitely enjoy it, just after I root and debloat. Got anything else to be jealous about?

        • KevinC

yeah still stuck with blur and a locked bootloader.  enjoy your custom roms…oh wait, you won’t.

          • incognito

Does it hurt that I gave my GNex away? I feel sorry for the guy I gave it to  actually :(

          • Spc Hicks09

Seriously? I’ve been running ICS for about a month now lol. Shows how much you know.

          • KevinC

            but no custom kernel.  boom.

          • Spc Hicks09

Yet I can still overclock. boom troll.

          • LiterofCola

            It’s pointless arguing with idiots.

  • incognito

    6.12.181.xt912

    • Spc Hicks09

Where are you getting that info from?

  • Cubsoxs87

How do u sign up to get that

  • droidlifeftw

     hell yea, rzr and ICS=heaven

  • incognito

This will be .181 not ICS

    • Spc Hicks09

      Wrong

      • incognito

Your chances are greater of winning tonights Mega Millions than this being ICS.
        You sir are wrong :)

        • Spc Hicks09

Glad you think so, we’ll see.

        • LiterofCola

          What say you now?

  • Scottbroe

    yessssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the3dolla

Hmm, I unrooted since they asked, so it better not be some crap Gingerbread update.  That would just be ridiculous.

  • DoctorOta

This makes me pumped.  Just upgraded my line and my Razr Maxx will be arriving in the mail on Wednesday so if I’m able to get ICS a week after a new phone I’ll be in heaven.

  • Joseph

I actually doubt this is ICS. There are several newer GB builds that have been leaked out. I would be more inclined to believe that is what the update is for. I also wouldn’t put alot of trust on a Best Buy screen shot for information. Have weall forgotten their bl under with the htc Thunderbolt last year?

    • Spc Hicks09

It’s ICS, Best Buy already leaked that the official OTA will be coming out on the 4th.

      • the3dolla

Really, you trust Worst Buy thaaaaaaat much?

        • Spc Hicks09

I don’t trust Best Buy at all, but I do trust the source. I also trust the people that have received said email and know for a fact that it’s ICS.

          • Lacokanostra

            You trust DL?

          • Spc Hicks09

For the love of God, I trust the source. Not DL, not Best Buy. Read between the damn lines.

          • RufusX

            You trust, bro?

          • Spc Hicks09

            I do trust, bro.

          • Joseph

No where in the email does it say it’s ICS. DL is making that connection from a best buy leak which could be someone’s idea of an early April fools. Build .181 was built on march 8th it’s much more logical to be that build or one very close to it.

        • Bodhiballer

If he does, I have some nice Monster Cable products that he might be interested in……….

    • rorytheroman

When it’s a minor patch, Moto calls it a “project”  This is being called a “new software release”.  Odds are It’s more significant than the minor patches that have leaked within the past couple months.

  • Harryeballs1234

Now what will the Gnex people have to brag about? Their crappy plastic phone? :-)

    • LionStone

      Oh dang…here we go… :-)

      • Spc Hicks09

Someone just HAD to mention the GNex……

    • The Observer

Unlocked bootloader, HD screen, all but guaranteed to get Jellybean, phenomenal dev support. Should I go on?

      • DoctorOta

In all fairness it’s relatively safe to assume the Razr variations will receive jellybean as well.  Will it be as soon? No.  In a timely manner? Probably not.  Will they receive it? Most likely.  If it’s anything like the update process for the Droid X then it will receive 2 major updates.  The X was released with 2.1 with 2.2 out shortly after, received that update followed by gingerbread later on.  Just wanted to say that.  The gnex does have an unlocked boot loader and higher res screen but to most consumers it’s all personal preference.  Techies are the only ones who will truly notice the screen difference, and unlocked bootloaders only matter to the Rooters.

Both phones are great in their own rights and good for different people with different desires.  You want a long haul battery phone get the Razr Maxx.  Want a thin phone get a regular Razr.  You want the most customization, get a gnex.

Like I said great phones with +/-’s for everyone, it all comes down to preference with top tier phones.  That being said, if the Razr gets ICS great, hopefully jellybean will follow but if not most consumers won’t miss a beat.  The endless arguments are getting a little redundant and don’t need to be on every post, not blaming anyone just stating an observation.

        • Lgreg64

          agree 110%

        • mustbepbs

I’m sure Moto will make a BS statement saying that they are unable to upgrade to JB due to lack of quad core. Just more reasons they **** out to get you into a new phone. Hopefully the dev community will back the RAZR/MAXX up.

          • Lgreg64

If that is the case then G-Nex will not see JB

          • droidian1441

Keep in mind this is Motorola’s RAZR series. The Galaxy Nexus is manufactured by Samsung. Not Motorola.

          • Lgreg64

yes but he said due to lack of Quad Core. neither the    Razr or the G-nex have quad.

          • Asuriyan

Pretty sure it was a jab at Samsung and the Galaxy S fiasco. “Hurp durp no ROM space, oops guys”

          • DoctorOta

I’m not sure they never did that even with the Droid X when gingerbread game about, and at that time the DX2 and D3 were released.  Heck, the Droid X got GB before either of those phones did.  Moto normally doesn’t completely toss aside such a large user base.  Given the amount of consumers that own a Razr & Razr Maxx  (basing this off my Maxx being on back order and having to get mailed)  I would be more surprised to see Moto ditch the Razr series after one update as opposed to sticking with it through 2.  Time will tell though.

          • mustbepbs

Like they’re tossing aside all of the people that bought the DX2, including me? That phone can handle ICS and they aren’t even giving it a chance. It isn’t even a year old yet and they’re dusting it under the rug.

          • Jack Coleman

dude apple forums are down the road….

*grumble* said i could have multitasking on my iPod with iOS4 because it didn’t have the power, the jailbreakers could do it flawlessly. *grumble*

          • Jack Coleman

            couldn’t*

      • Harryeballs1234

        ICS=Lipstick

        GNEX=Pig

        • r0lct

          I love bacon

        • Liderc

          Flimsy kevlar backplate=crap flavored lipstick

          • Diablo81588

You have a gnex and your calling the Razr flimsy?! Its funny actually, but the shelf display gnex were broken at both of the local Verizon stores in my area. The usb port was broken off. All moto phones were working just fine however… You don’t have to justify your bad purchase by spreading nonsense on here.

          • Liderc

He was making fun of the Gnex, I was simply making fun of the Razr’s flimsy selling point.

Yes the Gnex has a flimsy battery cover that I never need to remove because my phones awesome.  Yet, you still have a Razr that will have blur on it no matter what updates you get.

I think it’s you that’s trying to justify your bad purchase.

          • LiterofCola

How does the Razr’s screen look like crap?

          • Liderc

Let’s see, out of every current phone: 4s, Rezound, Nexus, Razr.  The Razr has the worst screen.  Technology wise and opinion wise, do you want a few sample images?

          • LiterofCola

As a Razr owner, I have no complaints about the screen whatsoever.  Battery life, maybe.  Just because there are better screens out there doesn’t mean that this screen looks like crap.

          • Daniel Archibald33

Yeah but lets see here, The GNEX isnt protected against water spillage like the RAZR.  Gnex doesnt have scratch resistant glass. Gnex doesnt have expandable memory at all. My razr has 16GB internal and im running a 64gb micro sd card too so lets see, that comes to about 80gb of memory in my RAZR. Gnex looks ugly with all the large capacity batteries on the market. Gnex has terrible sound. And hmmmm….interesting..the Gnex lte isnt even supported by Google AOSP anymore. fascinating.

          • Liderc

I don’t spill liquids on my phone, I’m not a child.

The Gnex DOES have scratch resistant glass.

I don’t need more than 32gb of memory, neither do you.

I don’t need to use an extended battery on my Gnex so I couldn’t care less about what it looks like with an extended battery.

            My Gnex sounds great?

Google does support the LTE, it just doesn’t “officially” support it. They just can’t release the signing keys because they don’t have the rights to release them.  Learn what you’re talking about before trying to make a point.

          • Daniel Archibald33

I know what im talking about. I work for google!

      • RPM

Yes pleaae do! Im almost impressed!

    • ckeegan

Probably no blur, unlocked bootloader, and a better screen, but that’s just a guess.

      • http://www.facebook.com/zack.moon Zack Moon

        just a wish…

        • ckeegan

Development :)  Last I checked, your section is deader than Whitney

      • Spc Hicks09

You’re looking at the wrong site then. ICS is getting almost nightly updates. XDA isn’t the only Android Development site.

        • KleenDroid

I have not been to XDA in a long time. I seem to be able to get everything I need at Rootzwiki.

          • Jbfkafb

Rootzwiki is weaksauce….try Droidhive or Droidrzr

    • shooter50

Wait, you forgot crappy radio plastic phone.

      • Tim242

I had the Razr and Nexus both at the same time, for 6 days. The Razr showed more bars, but both phones showed the same dBm.

        • Liderc

The Razr doesn’t even show 4G dBm, only the Nexus does.

          • Tim242

            I was on 3G.

          • Liderc

Then that explains the same numbers.

          • Tim242

That means equal ground, radios not better.

    • Azndan4

      Noob

    • LiterofCola

Why do you incite them so?

    • ddevito

Laugh it up – it’s all fun and games until the Fighter is released and the Razr and Maxx are forgotten.

  • Lacokanostra

In June when Android 5.0 or 4.1 drops the Razr probably wont ever see it while the Nexus will. You guys need to chill the f*ck out

    • JosephMoreno

Okay, seriously, has any official from Google actually gone out and said “HEY GUYS 5.0 IS COMING OUT AT IO!!!!!”?

      • Lacokanostra

Which is why I said “or 4.1″ the point is if one looks at previous history the Razr will most likely not see the next integration of Android

        • Lgreg64

if you have a nex why do you care what moto gets.  let it go.

          • Droidzilla

Elitism is a funny beast; someone has to be shown as under you for you to feel that you’re over someone.

I hate the fanboisim on both sides (though the GNex creeps seem to far outnumber their RAZR cohorts on here, lately). I was dead set on getting a GNex until Amazon dropped their $0.01 Black Friday deal, and I picked up the RAZR (because I’m not a fanboi). Couldn’t be happier with it, and I don’t regret my decision at all. In fact, I’m sure I’d feel the same way if the GNex had been the $0.01 on Amazon and I’d missed out on the RAZR.

Can’t we all just get along?

          • Tim242

            No! STFU! : )

        • recroom

And no one else will either so whats the big issue? The way I see it the Razr outperforms the Gnex in every area but the screen as it is, so whatever next major revision to 4.0 google makes, the Gnex is gonna need it more than the Razr will.

          • Azndan4

It does?  Hmm… How about the removable battery?  Or the insane amount of development on the nexus?  Or the TI 4460 in the Gnex vs the TI 4430 in the Razr?

          • recroom

I removable battery an issue? The Razr gets better battery life than the Nexus with the stock battery to begin with. And if you need more juice, get an external battery pack.

And there’s almost no difference between the 4430 and the 4460 when it comes to these two phones. There’s extra capability in the 4460 yeah, I don’t think the Nexus even has the hardware features to make use of it…

          • recroom

Is a non-removable battery an issue?*

          • Tim242

I had both phones for 6 days. The Razr does not outperform the Nexus. That is crap you fanboys make up to make yourselves feel better. Blur and the awful non-removable battery are the two main things that killed it for me. The screen was not good either. I had to turn the brightness up to 60% to match the brightness of the Nexus and Thunderbolt at 30%. Stock ICS is way too good to go back to s skin. The freedom of the unlock able bootloader means endless choices. I felt so limited on the Razr. Skins and locked bootloaders kill it. The dev community for he Nexus is HUGE! You have no idea what you are missing. On screen buttons are awesome. You can make them smaller, change their color, or remove them altogether.Flashing a ROM that gives you options galore, is as simple as a reboot.

          • recroom

Right I’m a fanboy because you don’t agree with me, you must be a veteran of the internets.
I’ve had both as well and I noticed the Razr dropped less calls, got better battery life(even if you’re stuck with the same size, but I guess external packs are something you guys like to forget), hell it just plain opens up most tasks quicker, and i’m 90% sure the screen is more responsive. The screen rotates faster(not a big deal I know), the speakers are louder.
It just is a better phone, and a better performing option. Yeah ROMs and customizing are nice but there ARE roms for the Razr even if they’re nowhere near as numerous.

          • Shadow

            >omg look at me im being a fa**ot and no one can stop me!!!

Step back and take a look at yourself… your too much of a gnex fanboy. RAZR in all honesty a good phone, and people when they go buy it… STILL choose it over gnex. Why you might ask? “Hello what are you looking for in a phone?” Majority of people are not going to say “hurrrrr durrrrr unlockable bootloaders” They are going to want something to make the android system EASIER for them. Not what’s best for you. Btw I had the gnex sold that garbage plastic phone and got the MAXX. Limiting my memory to 16 gigs with no way of expanding it besides clouds? Ummmm no f u Samsung. Also say what you will about Motorola screens and cameras… but their radios, speakers, ear pieces, quality build, and expandable memory slots are more important to me. The camera on the gnex blows donkey nuts… ur bad and u should feel bad

          • Tim242

You lost all credibility in your first statement. I never said that the Razr. Is a bad phone. I pointed out why the Nexus is better. Average users may not care about bootloaders, but they care about screens. If the sales people weren’t pushing Razrs so hard, average people could compare the two more. When I returned the Razr, and kept the Nexus, the sales people tried to talk me out of it To call the Nexus cheap plastic further discredits you. It is a very sturdy, well built phone. It feels better in the hand, than the Razr. It feels as good as my metal Thunderbolt did. The Nexus has 32 gigs, that is way more than most people need. Most iPhone buyers buy the 16 gig version. As far as my battery life, vs your Maxxxxxxxxxxxx………I have the extra standard battery, with a charging cradle. That means I have 3700 mAh of juice…and I NEVER have to plug my phone into a charger. The Nexus camera takes much better pics than the Razr. I can show you pics from both. We won’t even talk about the screens. I had both the Razr and Nexus for 6 days. The Razr showed more bars, but both showed the EXACT same dBm. This Moto superior radio BS is just pure myth. I love that you called me a fanboy, then showed how much of one you are. For the record, I’m no fanboy of any manufacturer. I weigh the pros and cons of devices, and use whichever one fits me best. I have had HTC and Moto phones. This is my first Samsung. It has been the best phone I’ve had yet. I am glad you like your Maxxxcccccc. But, it is in no way better than the Nexus. Different strokes for different folks. That goes for the bedroom as well : )

          • Liderc

You must be mistaken.  The Nexus out performs the Razr on everything (Minus radio for some apparently).  It’s hardware is better, including the screen and the battery and it’s software was designed with it’s hardware in mind.

          • recroom

You’re dead wrong. The screen is the only thing the Nexus has on the Razr,a nd the GPU I guess since its clocked higher. In every other area the Razr takes it imho. I don’t even feel like going over it again.

          • Liderc

um, all of the hardware is better in the Nexus.  The cpu is the higher binned chip.

          • recroom

Like I said the screen and the GPU are the ONLY things the Nexus does better, and the GPU doesn’t even amount to much because it has way more pixels to move.

          • Liderc

um, the CPU is different than the GPU and both are better than the Razr’s.  So what hardware are you talking about if you aren’t talking about the GPU the CPU or the screen?

          • LiterofCola

            Forgot to mention the camera

          • Droidfann

I’ve owned moto phones, The razr must be your first Moto phone. Because every Moto owner knows the skin slows down the system, fact. Google it, its true, and I know the truth hurts.

          • recroom

Well that’s all well and good but the Razr isn’t running the same version of blur as every other moto phone now is it?
So when you find me some evidence that whatever version is running the Razr will slow it down, then I’ll star caring alright?

          • recroom

  • Ken_P_619

It’s been so long since ICS came out on the Galaxy Nexus that I forgot what the upgrades even were.  Does anyone even remember what I’m so excited about?

    • Blackmagick20

Wow…maybe you should go touch yourself to your crappy phone and not commenting on something that doesn’t involve you

      • Ken_P_619

Who is this?  I’m pretty sure you replied to the wrong comment.

I hope to see the bionic’s ICS update to follow shortly, so these developers can have a stable source to work off of to make ICS roms

  • Michael_NM

If I ever meet Matt from Moto, he’s going to leave the meeting with a black eye caused by my Bionic or Xoom. I realize it’s not his fault, but I think he’d make a good fall guy. :-)

  • Soaker

Got my invite. Now just waiting for it. How long after submitting the survey it take for the testers to get it? And how can I get the update off to distribute it to the wifes phone?

    • Ron Perlman’s Jaw

It’ll start pushing to specific testers within 24 hours of getting the email. Matt selects a handful of early testers for the initial push. Then once he sees feedback showing few to no problems, the second and bigger push is sent to the remaining testers within 24 hours of the initial push.

  • Droidzilla

I won’t say that I got an invite because the invite said it’s confidential.
