Kexec, as far as my limited knowledge goes, places a new kernel on top of the original kernel after boot, effectively erasing/replacing the old one with the new one. Of course, this is not the most ideal for us, because this would have to occur at every boot, and might take a little bit longer than usual, but it’s the best chance we have.

No, normal phones with locked bootloaders can’t flash custom kernels.
