Swype is awesome. I just wish they would get rid of that stupid Dragon voice-to-text garbage and go back to google voice input.

We would encourage anyone to visit our website (www.beeraider.com) and read what we have to say about our unique Keyboard Design, before they pass any judgement on it. Two pages on our website in particular, go into great detail on the reasoning behind the design and how best to use/learn it. Check out the ‘Support’ and ”Design Philosophy’ pages.

We stand over what we say. Our keyboard is logical, ergonomic, efficient and compact (in physical form). If you spend the time to carefully read what we have to say about it, you may well come round to the same conclusion.

We believe that the standard QWERTY keyboard is illogical, non-ergonomic and inefficient and we explain why this is so on our website for those who who don’t know the history behind it. As for Swyping (especially on Tablet devices), it involves a whole lot of finger-travel, while our design succeeds in minimising finger-travel (see our US Efficient Layout).

Well, I’m gonna chime in, too…. I’ve tried out many different keyboards. Being that I like to keep a decent length on my nails, I’ve always insisted on a physical keyboard (so I can type with my nails), however, for the last 3 months I’ve been enjoying the pleasures of a RAZR and finding out that not having a keyboard isn’t as hindering as I suspected it would be! However, a good keyboard app is DETRIMENTAL to this shift! I tried several of them out on my D2G, but it took me all of about 3 minutes to be absolutely blown away by SwiftKay X. I think it knows what I want to say even before I do!

Swype is amazing, but sometimes it can get annoying, especially when theres friction when dragging your finger across the screen (I have a screen protector). I usually switch between Swype and Thumb Keyboard or recently the ICS keyboard.

15 minutes is not long enough to properly test a keyboard, ive spent over $10 on keyboards that i dont even have installed on any devices anymore. not alot of money, but enough to keep away those who have already learned this lesson.
