Verizon told me yesterday, Jan 10 - that the baseband should be 1515.10. I had called to complain about bad reception, and I was told the new baseband was meant to fix that. He told me to go into a local Verizon store to force the update. My phone was rooted, so that wasn't an option. Where do I get 1515.10?

I have installed the new radio files. It seems they really did not help with increasing 4G signal or staying on 4G when other phones have full signal of LTE. I did notice it improved latancy (ping times) and cut them in half and more in line where they should be on LTE and Wi-Fi. I hope this isnt what VZW is going to offer us with the next update b/c if so this phone is going back

In cdma only area , wifes razr pulls down allways over 1,000 kbps while the GNex gets 400 - 700 kbps .

Battery life is horrible on the GNex as is the camera, speaker, display must be at least half brightness or higher onvthe GNex or it looks really dull . The razr and galaxy II make the GNex look dull .

I keep seeing people comparing 3g data on these 4g phones to 3g on a 3g only phone which many fail to realize is still an apples to oranges comparison. I have found on my bionic that 3g uses ehrpd instead of evdo as I wojld assume all 4g phones do. I have found no way short of a nation wide outage that will let my phone connect to evdo, comparing evdo and ehrpd directly in my area atleast on my bionic evdo has a dbm of 79 where as ehrpd has a dbm of 108. The speeds I got over evdo as expected where faster as expected with a better signal, directly compared to my OG sitting next to it IDENTICAL results under evdo. I think ehrpd is also the battery life scourge of 4g and dropped 4g as when ehrpd is down battery life increases set to 4g/cdma and the amount of time connected to 4g also increases. Lte is spread thin yes but the true problem for all 4g phones is ehrpd. No one seems to mention this or pay attention close enough as I have never seen it talked about.

I'm having problems with receiving incoming calls, especially ones from my wife. Now some guys would say this isn't a bad thing that your wife can't get a hold of you a million times a day, but we are expecting our first child so it is VERY important I get calls from her.
