  • ss2

It’s live if you go to shop, not the link from the home page.

  • Anonymous

    Just bought one!  w00t!

    • Anonymous

How? Verizon’s website is still directing me to the “enter your email” page.

      • VerizonHater

Go to the phones and devices section.  If you click on the ad on the main page it will direct you to the email sign up.

  • we’ve been delayed 30 seconds so far

  • You beat the verizon email telling me by 7 hours 41 min, congrats

  • the g-nex is now on the verizon main page but only brings you to the sign up now, probably only a few more minutes till something better.

    • xvortexx

You can still find it if you browse smartphones

  • djjsin

funny how the verizon news page

announces all the other news that has happened today – white razr, the new LTE cities…but no Galaxy Nexus launch.

Man Verizon, i dont understand why you are treating this launch so badly compared how you promote everything else you sell.

  • Anonymous

Amazon already says backordered 6 to 8 days

  • Guest

Finally, can we now finally move on to a new phone!

  • Nico

Still need to get my hands on one to see if it’s worth trading in a rent-a-Rezound.  I DO love the Rezound’s screen more and more every day…

    • Jamaicawind

Honestly i played with it and its BETTER then the rezound…

  • i dont think i’ll be able to sleep tonight so i’m going to go on a all night Call of Duty marathon till 10am Pacific time.

  • str8rippinem

Don’t listen to the dumbass reps. This phone is coming out tomorrow. I literally go up to 3 reps at my local store today and the first 2 played dumb and said they were getting razrs, finally went to the 3rd and she let me mess around with the gnex and said its in for tomorrow. And btw, the phone is ridiculous. The screen is f’ing amazing, its snappy as hell and ics looks great. The hype has been met for sure. Enjoy your gnex people. Its been worth the wait.

    • VerizonHater

This phone is out now 🙂

  • Yellowcanary73

I sure hope this phone lives up to the hype and should a lot better then my X.

  • can you activate the phone yourself or do they have to do it at the store for you?

    • Graham Wilson

you can do it yourself on myverizon account under activate device

  • xvortexx

Does anyone know if Costco will let me use a family members membership card to purchase this device?

    • Anonymous

yes, that is no problem. from the wireless kiosk you’ll get the order sheet.. and you’ll have to go to the register, pay for it and then pick it up from merchandise pickup and then take it back to the wireless kiosk.

      • xvortexx

        Awsome! Thank you.

  • Tim242

I’m going in at 9 am to get mine. I will be eating an ice cream sandwich for breakfast as they are activating it : )

  • Superior1

    Glad it’s almost here. t-minus 11 hrs……CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • VerizonHater

t-minus 9 hours for me until I get to hold that deliciousness in my hands.

  • Anonymous

  • Yahueu

Sorry, but I very much doubt  about your report. Why? Because there is nothing on
http://www.verizonwireless.com and official VZW Nexus page  is still DEAD

    • Jamaicawind

it goes live at 1…and verizon already stated its coming out tomorrow…

    • Anonymous

then dont go to verizon tomorrow.. wont bother us when we have our unlocked deliciousness

    • Tim242

Verizon sent the release to every blog, a day early. Verizon also tweeted it. I have an appt at 9am to get mine. It’s real.

Who wants to meet me at costco in hillsboro, oregon so i can use their costco card?

  • brandon coulter

    mmmmmm, ice cream sandwich

  • galaxynexus is my mistress

i went my local verizon retailer and i got in the biggest argument with the retail dude and i was like so   what time do expect to sell the galaxy nexus tommorow and all he said was well i garantee u it will not be her tommorow and also had the balls to say well a great alternitive is the droid razr what fn idiots i swear…

    • QtDL

The white Droid Razr is launching tomorrow too! Don’t get too excited.

    • I feel ya bud, had a guy give me the hard sell on a Rezound today when I went in to return my Razr, it was weird.

  • i just exhaled for what feels like the first time in months.  finally. 😀

  • So I am sure others already know this but the off contract or full retail price is confirmed at $649 by three verizon stores around me.

  • Look at this Galaxy Nexus.

    Nope, Chuck Testa.

  • Mosskingpin

Just saw a Vzw commercial hyping the Charge and Stratosphere. Can’t wait to tether this Nexus

  • So when does Nexus-Life.com launch?

  • Jboku

My store is stil playing dumb saying there is no official release date yet….

  • Anonymous

So I have been hearing that if you upgrade from a 3g to a 4g phone that you can get a $100 off. Anyone know if this is true??

    • QtDL

I have been trying to find this out too. I don’t see that promo being advertised anywhere though.

    • Anonymous

Call em up and ask, I just did and they gave it to me. I didn’t get the mailer; just mentioned to 3g to 4g aspect and that I was thinking of going to a 4g. The CSR even attempted to order a nexus for me 2 diff ways. He said the second way would of given me an early order but wouldn’t get the discount. He is going to call me back 2morrow so I can get the discount and the nexus.  Btw, he was the one to bring up the nexus; although he did try to sell me the other 4g phones first.

  • Anonymous

People keep saying this release is botched, but I guaruntee this  will be by far the best delling Nexus device to date. Googls dont care about the release if they making all kids of cash of this exclusive deal with Verizon.. I for one wouldnt doubt if Verizon gets the rest of the Nexus devices first..

  • Anonymous

What’s the process for returning a phone from the rent-a-droid razr program (a.k.a extended holiday refund policy)

    • QtDL

$35 restocking fee as far as I am aware.

      • Anonymous

Do I have to wait for them to mail it in? I can’t wait ANY longer!

        • QtDL

Mail it in to where? Just go to the corp store and swap it out, unless you got the Razr from Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc. Their policies might be different.

        • You do not. I just returned my Razr today. You get to keep your new every 2 deal as well.

  • QtDL

I find it a little odd that the online chat support VZW reps are still saying “we don’t have any info on that device”, “we don’t have a release date yet”. That was about 60 seconds ago that I spoke w/ one – unless they are trained to lie right up until the release.

    • the press release wasn’t suppose to come out till tomorrow

      • QtDL

Got it. Those poor drones are trained to lie then. 🙂

      • Tim242

Verizon emailed the release to every blog. Oh, and they tweeted it.

I received the same treatment. I literally asked if they had a Nexus on display and he was very defensive. Then again, he works at Best Buy for a reason. I wouldn’t worry about it.

      • QtDL

The store reps are only slightly more knowledgeable than the online reps. I already got confirmation from the local Android nerd on staff and the manager at my corp store that it will be out tomorrow. I was just curious as to what the online reps would say considering it goes on sale in 2.5 hours here on the east coast.

  • Anonymous

Not to sound like a negative nancy or whatever, but why isnt this posted somewhere on Verizon’s website? It’s not in the press release section. The one about expanded 4G cities is on there, but no mention of the Nexus. You’re telling me they just an email to a few tech websites? Seriously?

    • QtDL

It’s all over VZW’s Twatter feed – must be the only way they plan on advertising that phone. I also got a personal email from the manager at my local corp store earlier this evening saying that the launch was indeed confirmed for tomorrow.

      • Anonymous

You’re right. That must be the only way. They certainly thumbed their nose up at people who signed up for email alerts.

        • VerizonHater

I didn’t get anything at all from VZW.  Been checking my phone all night since I found out because one of the stores told me I sould get a text message when its released.  I’ve gotten nothing.

          • QtDL

Check your text messages at 9 am tomorrow. Lol.

    • VerizonHater

      Google it.

      • Anonymous

That’s my point – I only find links to other tech sites. Nothing from Verizon direct. Don’t they usually have press releases on the site? I’m hoping they are just waiting to add it tomorrow.

  • I returned my RAZR today and the guy at the store brought out his Rezound and made me play with it. He really wanted me to buy it right then and there. He recommended it over every other phone out there.

Not sure why the sales rep was so set on the Rezound, but it was slightly annoying

    • QtDL

Probably makes more commission selling a Razr or Rezound than a Nexus, but I could be wrong. Maybe he just really loves his Rezound.

      • Are they on commission there? If so, you sound like a very smart man.

I always assumed that they weren’t, but it does make sense that they would be.

  • Jmaster674

i broke my kin and then i was told i would have to wait for Christmas to get this…

  • Matthew Rosidivito

15 December 2011: The day Droid Life died.

    • Nexus Life?

    • Tim242

      Have you forgotten about ThunderGate?

      • Matthew Rosidivito

I assume that’s what we coined the issue with the Tbolt’s batt life? Haha, maybe Google Wallet or bloatware discussions will keep my interest then.

  • Anonymous

It feels like xmas is coming early! Looks like I will be getting myself a gift! 😀

  • Anonymous

    F*!$ YEAH!

  • Pandawatch

Anyone know the full retail on this bitch?

    • Anonymous

      $649…confirmed by VZWsupport twitter…

  • VerizonHater

I think Verizon needs to apologize to Samsung and Google for how they botched this release.

    • Anonymous

You call it botched, VZW see’s it another way. The only official date they ever had was the 9th, which got delayed most likely due to the 4G outage and the arrival of 4.0.2. that just started rolling out today. I was just as upset as the rest of us but there is no need for an apology from them.

      • VerizonHater

Yeah, but everyone that I know is saying that there is no marketing for this phone… just rumors that everyone has been hearing.  I’m glad its getting released tomorrow.  I’ll be there first thing in the morning to get it, but I still think VZW f*ed this one up.

        • Anonymous

Yea, I feel you man. I think they did butcher it but we will never know all the real reasons behind it. The reason there was no marketing is because to VZW this is their stepchild phone. They don’t want this in any way to steal from the Droid branded sales. If they had it their way they would have all of us in a Droid branded phone. You can’t blame them from a business standpoint I guess. It comes down to $$$ and they make more off a Droid branded phone. Also, I don’t think they really realized how many of us have been waiting for this phone even before it was officially announced by Samsung. Maybe this opened their eyes for any future Nexus phone on VZW, I can only hope though. Let’s just rejoice that it is here and come this time tomorrow we will all be so immersed in our new phones we wont even be thinking about how long we waited…

  • Mosskingpin

    Nexus Eve…

  • Bwilliam

BS. Just chatted With Verizon and they said NO.

    • Anonymous

Dude…the average customer service rep at VZW is so far out of the loop its not even funny. The phone is coming tomorrow whether you believe it or not. Just get down to your local VZW as soon as you can tomorrow or you may be disappointed they are all sold out because you “though it was BS”.

    • Anonymous

dude ..go to facebook and twitter and look at verizon posts / tweets…or samsungmobileUSA…its coming out tomorrow…be excited!!!!!   that rep wasn’t as on top of it as you are 🙂

  • I think I’m going to stick my OG Droid in a shoe box and bury it in the yard. Maybe have a little service for it.

  • Tom Stock

    Last week.
