Aside from 4G connectivity, the phone needs some boost on their specs so games on PS2 or PS3 can played on the device.

They should just make a PSP Vita Phone. The Vita already has a 3G radio and more than enough power (quad core!) to run any Android app.

Too bad there aren’t any games that would make it worth while to have bulky dedicated gaming hardware on my phone.

The only thing that kept me from getting it really. I could live with the 1 GHz Snapdragon and 512 MBs RAM, but I didn’t understand wtf they were thinking with only having that much internal memory, SD card installs be damned. I was soooo looking forward to that phone too. Didn’t see it worth the upgrade from my OG Droid with a Game Gripper at that point (since I would mostly use it with emulators) .

“but with lower end specs and no 4G” and I’m sure Verizon’s constant delays didn’t help it either. Another phone that made its way around the world before limping into the US.

We do realize the xperia play on at&t was advertised with 4g(faux-g ) so i doubt its a new unit.

Looks like they really do want everyone on a 4g phone since they are upgrading phones to 4g mere months after it launches.

I love mine but they seriously need more space. 400mb of useable space on a phone that I’m suppose to overload with games was the worst thing to do to this phone.

I always liked Sony Ericsson phones. I thought they did a great job with their own UI on dumbphones and skinning Android on the X10 that I used to have.

It is, and on AT&T’s website they also claim the i*hone 4S is a 4G device….
