Just so people know, the nexus pre-orders are open.

I have already pre-ordered mine. I did it at my local Verizon wireless authorized retailer.

The guy said he got the official email/memo about its release on monday (11/28) and was able to take pre-orders from that point on.

He also said hes expecting them to arrive on the 6th or 7th (8th for non-preorders), so if you pre-order it, you may be able to get it a day or two sooner.

nah, its poor planning and everyone getting ahead of themselves. One thing Apple does right is they announce a product, then allow people to buy it in no time. Let your good product shine on its own in the hands of users. No need to stimulate hype about it. Compare it to guys with a little dick trying to compensate for it with their affliction shirts and so on....at the end of the day, their dick is still the same size, the hype doesn't change that. I know that was a stretch, but you get the point. They are missing the biggest shopping day of the year btw, do you really think that this small percentage of "phandroids" waiting on this phone is going to make the slightest bit of difference in their overall sales? Probably not. The earlier they put it out, they longer they can take advantage of the sales from this phone to the ignorant mass market, and the Gnex will only be considered cutting edge for a very short period of time. They are missing out on a huge opportunity. The phone will be outdated in no time when these quad core monsters come out. One last thing, comparing a simple consumer product to the movie industry is the worst argument you ever could have made. Try to stick within the same industry. Atleast movies give a release date.

People need to calm down. No where on there does it say or mention the release of the phone. All that is on there is marketing materials which leads me to believe that beginning the week of the 8th, Verizon will begin a large marketing campaign for the phone. I think believe that it will be out the week of the 21st, before Friday of course to convince people to come in and buy the phone of Black Friday.

The first picture looks like it's for marketing materials, and as such is not a confirmation of a launch date. And I have a feeling the is from an authorized retailer, which would only indicate that THEY would be launching on 12/08, leaving the 11/21 still an option for w/o or corporate stores. The reason for this is the wording on the red dinc2. They mention that the units would be shipped direct from HTC and not "our VZW DC". This struck me as odd, as why would a corporate office have to refer to themselves as "our VZW DC"? I work for a large corporation myself, and none of our internal documents/emails ever make mention of "our [company name]" anything. It would make more sense if that was coming from an authorized retailer instead, especially as many of them cover multiple carriers. When I was younger I worked for a music store in which we had a lot of distributors from different manufacturers, and we'd constantly say "our Gibson dealer" or "our Marshall salesman". Makes a lot more sense that way. Even if I'm wrong here, there's also the possibility that this is merely the in-store date, as the prior info we had said 11/21 but web only.

To you maybe, to others we aren't as OCD as you. You know what's funny, no one gave a crap about pentile until some idiot on one site made a big stink with his zoomed in pictures and as usual all the other sites piggybacked onto it. The Nexus One and S both had pentile screens as did the Incredible and the entire lineup of Galaxy S phones yet there wasn't a peep about those.

AMOLED screens offer superior contrast, color gamut, response time, viewing angles and tend to draw less power overall.

You're not serious, are you? Yes, if you were on either of those carriers, you could have a 16GB non-4G Galaxy Nexus right now. Congratulations! Personally, I'm fine with waiting for the Verizon version, but there's still no excuse for Verizon announcing it, but still not revealing the release date. Other than greed and stupidity of course.
