The tablet version is really quite nice. I have it said as the default browser on my Xoom. Now the phone version on the other hand, i don’t know about because my OG Droid is too weak to run it.

I tried the version that’s on the market recently and it’s a horribly slow pos so unless they completely redesigned it with these nightlies I find that hard to believe.

what are the advantages of this browser, I want to like it but I just see none dolphin does pretty much everything ff does plus more without the mass amounts of bugs and lag

everyone has a different experience based on what they’re running on their mobile devices. It ran okay on my OG droid, kinda buggy on my D2, and pretty crappy on my galaxy tab 10.1

Now to be fair, running flash enabled sites works just fine on my tablet, it’s using interactive flash content where I have problems.

Not to mention it was a serious battery drain on my phones.

I dont know why people say flash is buggy, it worked great on my droidx and works even better on my droidx 2

Its taken Firefox, what 2 years now to produce a web browser that still sucks, and they are bashing flash? I gave up on them well over a year ago.

Yea but “by now” would have been pretty late dont you think? And i edited my 1st comment and it basically says nothing now lol, sorry about that. And also, i dont think Flash on Android is whats holding HTML5 back. Its more the fact that Flash still exists in general, as its much more widely used at home on computers. Adobe should turn their direction toward HTML5 right now.

It’s the fastest rendering and most web standards complaint browser on Android, beating Opera by a few hairs and absolutely decimating Dolphin and Stock. The only problem with FF is it’s sluggishness to load, which has basically disappeared with the nightlies.

Before these nightlies, Fennec retained the XUL-based UI of desktop Firefox but now they went for a more native Android approach and everything is much smoother. The nightlies are still very pre-alpha in terms of functionality but the UX has significantly improved.
