Note that Antutu is capped at 60fps. Any performance improvements simply won’t show. If you look at the 3D section, the Nexus S does as well as the Galaxy S2. We all know the S2 leaves the NS in the dust. Obviously the 3D graphics section is not a good indicator here because they have already been maxed out.

It looks like the big improvement is in CPU and RAM speeds only. I assume that means it can crunch a lot of numbers very fast, but it’s not going to make any graphics intensive apps any more special looking than they are on a GSII or a GNex. I’m not an expert by any means and I could be completely wrong. And even so, this is a very cool development.

My point was, you’re assuming that app devs and software companies are going to reprogram their software to utilize quad cores, when this hasn’t been the case in the past with computers.

Computers have had quad cores for over 4 years now and I bet less than 5% of software utilizes quad cores.

Do you honestly think that it’s going to be any different with hand held devices?

They should be focusing on reducing die sizes on dual cores, which reduces power usage and increases performance due to higher clocks.

The pricing of these tabs are horrible, I think they like it the same price as laptops. If you compare android to pc though, it is no contest. O.o Pc has been around a lot longer too.

What new info did you add here? lol, this is what was said. NO DUH, the app devs have to utilize multicores for their specific app… but it is untrue multiple cores are useless. Android can run just on one core while having its apps use other cores thus even if a dev doesnt utilize it then having multicore is still better.
