Confirmed: DROID RAZR Launching at Verizon November 10

The above document was just passed along to us from our friends at Verizon, confirming that November 10 is the day that the DROID RAZR will be on store shelves. As has previously been noted thanks to a pre-order, the device will be $299 on new 2-year contract or $649 at full retail. It packs a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4.3″ Super AMOLED Advanced display, is the thinnest smartphone around at 7.1mm, and crushes downloads over Big Red’s 4G LTE network.

You can view our hands-on video and gallery with the phone here and here.

Anyone pre-order?

Cheers ___!

    Next-us.

Sorry Moto. If you unlocked the bootloader than MAYBE. But no.
Plus, I’ve always wanted a Nexus.

  • Anonymous

….I think the Razr will be better, but who really knows until these phones have been out for a while

  • Anonymous

Again. To all those people that are blindly following the G Nex. Have you ever owned a Samsung Phone before? Please wait for reviews on it before you buy it. Confirm that the radio an gps work 100%, because they usually don’t with Sasmung. People on AC are reporting radio issues with the American SGS2, All the SGS1’s have GPS and Radio issues, Just beware. Samsungs have good screens, gpu’s, and decent processors but usually are bad with everything else.

    • Anonymous

Yea, had a Fascinate. The thing sucked. But, had a Droid X and that sucked too. But my hate for Blur and locked bootloaders goes deeper than the hate for Samsung.

  • Bionic

This will be a great phone. If I didn’t have bionic id have this.

    • Pennywise

Nah, the Bionic’s screen is going to crush this OLED garbage. If you like thinner, and can live with non-removable battery, then I guess get Razr.

But the Bionic is still VERY thin, AND has a removable battery, and arguably has a better screen.

    Who cares, need gnex

  • hatethanet

FYI, Anandtech included a few benchmarks with the RAZR and iPhone 4S. Looks good: http://www.anandtech.com/show/4971/apple-iphone-4s-review-att-verizon/4

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_LQNNJDZQIWIIHJWUIUV7R24XAM Aaron

      Nice find, I love Anandtech!

    • Anonymous

I wonder how the nexus will fare in those tests since it wasn’t listed? Will be interesting to see and also how ics helps the razr on those scores.

  • Dominick DeVito

I hope everyone realizes the precious battery life hyped for this thing is based on 3G. I heard it from motorola’s mouth themselves.

    • Anonymous

I also heard from testers that this battery life is much better than the nexus? If you hate this phone so much and clearly are getting a nexus why bash a phone? You have nothing better to do than act like an isheep and try to talk up 1 phone versus another? Let people choose what they want and quit trying to act like either will be that much better than the other.

      • Dominick DeVito

        u butthurt bro?

        • Anonymous

butthurt? nah, unlike you a phone doesn’t determine how masculine I feel. Nice try though maybe once you get the nexus you will finally be able to leave your mother’s basement, go outside and actually talk to a girl.

          • Dominick DeVito

I’m married bro but thanks for asking.

          • Anonymous

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_LQNNJDZQIWIIHJWUIUV7R24XAM Aaron

You realize that’s because they quoted talk times which by default is not 4G on any phone so of course they are talking 3G battery life.

      • Dominick DeVito

Yes, thank you for saying the same thing

        • Pennywise

So you’re saying that the Razr (oddly I feel it is necessary here to point out that the Razr is a Phone) will have outstanding talk time?

          Huh.

  • Dominick DeVito

Super thin and great battery life = we’ll see if the Razr delivers. No Android phone has yet so I see no reason why this phone is any different.

As for the WebTop – yeah that’s useful, riiiight. Cool? Sure Fast? No.

And as for Netflix, you can watch Netflix HD on the Rezound and G-Nex too

    • Anonymous

I was not aware that they were all getting netflix hd nice!  I guess there is no reason for them not to get it.  Webtop is fun for experimenting.

      • Dominick DeVito

I think webtop (or lapdock) is the future of computing. You go to work, dock your phone. It’s a productivity machine. Leave work, go home, dock it again – it’s an entertainment system. All the while can sit in your pocket.

    • Pennywise

“Super thin and great battery life = we’ll see if the Razr delivers. No
Android phone has yet so I see no reason why this phone is any
      different.”

Bionic. Have a nice day: )

  • Dominick DeVito

I think Verizon purposely held off the G-Nex in favor of the Razr and the Rezound so they can get more $$$ in the long run with their bloatware, branding, etc. I couldn’t argue that from a business perspective. They know there are lots of us in the 2yr pool from the OG Droid and such and sick of waiting for our next phone.

(Add another reason why I’m STILL getting the G-Nex)

When these two phones are released they’ll finally uncover the G-Nex.

    • Anonymous

Hey DeVito, I am a little confused… Which phone are you getting again?

      • Dominick DeVito

At this rate – I’m holding onto my OG and waiting for Peter Alfonso’s ICS port.  :-)

      • Dominick DeVito

It’s not so much about the Razr being this or that – it’s just that it’s not all that different than my OG (yes, let me explain).

The experience will be enhanced, no doubt, look at the specs. But it won’t be different. Not to mention my OG is running 2.3.7 so it always sucks (in principle) to buy a NEW phone with an OLDER OS. I don’t care if you’re a phone geek or an average user – NO ONE wants to go backwards.

I want a different experience – only the G-Nex gives me that option.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002918282828 Christopher Grame

I’ll wait and it’s simply because I have a feeling this lame waiting game on the gnex is due to verizon.  Vze has the i*phone/razr/rezound and an arsenal of great phones…BUT I was very upset when they didn’t get the GS2 and got even more excited when I heard about the nexus.  If they already have so many good phones why are they worried to throw the nexus in as well?  Give sammy a chance too!

    • Anonymous

All about making money and they make more off the phones they can bloat up.

  • Slag3r
  • Sirx

I am so torn between this and the Nexus.  The build materials on this thing are just SO much better–You wouldn’t even need to mask the sexiness of the phone with a bulky case of some kind.  And the battery is likely to be somewhat better.  If only it had ICS >:-(

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=585765043 Andre Brown

Be patient bro.. it will have ICS from moto or cm soon enough:-) Both will be great phones

  • Matt2783

Well, that pretty much settles it, I’m getting this locked down, non ICS, bloatware filled phone. OG needs a replacement and I’m done playing the waiting game. I’m not waiting a month and a half for the Nexus.

    • Anonymous

I don’t think you will be disappointed. I mean all of these phones coming out will be light years ahead of your droid. Not to mention it will get ICS and then should really be an awesome phone.

    • Anonymous

+1, don’t let the G-Nex drones fool you, this phone is bad a$$…

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Stephen-Ingram/1178835056 Stephen Ingram

This device is very sexy, but i don’t think it can compare to a Nexus device no matter what it’s made of… Sure it may not be built like a tank, but the Nexus is a better choice for people who have been waiting on one. I personally have been waiting for Verizon to drop one since the nexus one got rejected. I’ve always envied those updates and that stock experience :)
I don’t see why anyone bashes on other phones. Both the Nexus and the Razr are amazing phones with different target customers. The nexus is geared more towards true android enthusiasts who want a stock experience while the RAZR is geared towards the MASS amount of people who love DROID branding and Motorola build quality. Honestly I doubt many people that buy the RAZR even care that its still on Gingerbread and isnt going to be stock.

    STOP bashing!!! It’s childish =P

This phone won’t be a flop. I can almost guarantee this will sell better than the nexus solely for the fact that it will be marketed much harder and most normal consumers do not care about stock android or needing the latest and greatest.

  • YourFriend

Kellex, for the love of God and all that is mighty, please put a comment filter for idiots who keep spamming that stupid “u mad bro” meme. It’s beyond old, it never was funny in the first place, and it’s turning the comments into stupid flame wars. Oh, and in before some idiot tries to reply with any kind of variation or “u mad bro”, but now I’m just baiting them.

    $649… wow

Does this not mean IIRC, at least in CA, we pay tax on $649 even though you pay $299? How F***** is that.

  • Anonymous

I would trade in my Bionic if they had a program in place to do so. Otherwise no thanks! However, I will be getting a Nexus even if I have to pay full price!

  • Nsbjj

Since the Nexus won’t be out until early-mid December I am getting the RAZR.  I am just sick and tried of waiting.

    • Anonymous

No Worries. the razr is going to be an awesome phone.

    • Colin Zack

you’re really going to enjoy waiting for the ICS update

      • Anonymous

Probably as long as everyone else will be to get a nexus on verizon=/

        • Dominick DeVito

yeah – a whole week – or maybe 2 weeks after. Yeah that’s such a deal breaker. Get real.

          • Anonymous

Ha until verizon pushes it back until the last day of the year. I am waiting for the nexus but if they wait that long nexus or not I may see what is right around the corner at CES.

          • Dominick DeVito

            G-Nex Nov 10th pre-order. Nov 17th release. No worries.

          • Anonymous

            hahaha alright we will see.

          • Pennywise

            December at the earliest.

  • http://profiles.google.com/helfinstine David Helfinstine Jr.

I pre-ordered! I did my homework and decided it would be a better bet to last me 2 years. Would have considered the Rezound if there was more info, but with HTC’s rep for battery life, I thought I’d go with moto again. I needed a worthy successor to my OG Droid.

  • Matthewnasholm

    Mine is Preordered

  • Johnwall

    Preordered mine yesterday.

  • Spyderman

Yes, I Pre-ordered. I think that because there are less than 100,000 people in the world that care about locked boot loaders, that none of the 70,000,000 Verizon customers will buy this POS.

  • Anonymous

Well its releasing on Rogers this Thursday.

  • Anonymous

10th for the Razr and the Gnex.. cool.

p.s. I am living in self denial.. please don’t burst my bubble.

  • FYRCITY

if they hit shelves nov 10th and pre orders ship “no later than nov 10″, does that mean my phone could ship on the 10th and would arrive at my home a couple of days after it hit the stores?

  • Bluh5d

I pre ordered the razr. I hope I have it before its released in a store because I could just had easy went to a store and picked it up the same day. The reason I pre ordered. Is when I pre ordered the droidx when it came out I actually got it ealier then they stated. I hope that hope comes true again. Myself Not everyone here cares if bootloader is locked or unlocked. I for one dont care. I did the seen on droidx and rooted the phone and messed with it up and down and had the sbf . Yes i Had locked my phone up before and used the sbf . I have tried roms etc etc. But after all of this I went back to stock and have been happy with stock and pdanet :)

Now just ready for another good motorola release.   Am I right or am I wrong I dont know. But I do know every individual need is diff. And for myself the droid razr is what i wanted.  As for nexus I obviously gave it a thought but I want to stick with motorola as I have had very good luck with motorola devices all the way back to my bag phone :)  But the next guy might be all about an unlocked bootloader and running aftermarket software. So its all what ur going to use it for.  Also some set backs on the nexus is you have no gorilla glass. To my experience Gorilla glass is the best. Ive seen many other glass break real easy from a simple drop and i just say thank you motorola for not cutting corners with using some off brand glass !!!

  • Guest

    For all the complainers…

Samsung / Google decided that the UK was more important. So, instead of launching in the US first, it will follow the UK. VZW quickly needed to move up an upcoming launch / put something in it’s place so this is what you get…LOL!

  • hatethanet

Time to test drive the RAZR for about 13 days, then, haha.

  • Nexus

You were good, kid, real good. But as long as I’m around, you’ll always be second best, see?

    • shdowman

Yeah, see….we’re gonna rub ya out see…it’s curtains, I said curtains for ya.

    • Pennywise

Lol you’re all plastic and chincy and your innards don’t work well :D

  • Nemesis15

If you are someone who wants the Nexus, why even waste your time posting on this page.  Just wait for Nexus info and post there.

  • Keith Sumner

Screw all of you whiners here, Motorola, despite having a locked bootloader has made some of the best Android smart phone’s to date, so far, no other manufacturer has bested Motorola in build quality, durability, radio signal strength, and call quality. Motorola is also the fastest to update their phones to the latest Android versions (second ONLY to the Nexus line obviously), and for identifying and fixing bugs quickly.

Just because the bootloader is locked doesn’t mean crap anyway, because just like with every moto phone before, developers have found a way to root, debloat, and custom rom every single phone here, including the Bionic and I’m sure the Razr will too.

Remember something, this is DROID life, remember roots, and respect them.

    • Alexander Garcia

Remember the good ol’ days of Android versus iOS!? LOL. Yeah… Those were the days. Now it’s Android versus Android.  :-/  Oh and BTW… MOTOROLA FTW !!!

      • Dominick DeVito

Yeah…and whose to blame for that?

The OEMs wanted customized experiences on their Android phones – and boy did they get them, only it backfired. Some have ugly UIs (Samsung), Some never update (HTC, Samsung), some are instituting a Nazi regime (Motorola). They caused it. No one ever told them they needed to customize anything.

Google laughs and says I told you so.

Now bring on the G-Nex and get this nonsense over with already

        • Anonymous

Samsung and HTC updated their ui and if carriers didn’t slow everything down updates would come faster. Look at international versions both get faster updates from HTC and Samsung.

    • Dominick DeVito

you had me at “second ONLY to the Nexus line obviously”

  • Jason Purp

WHAT ABOUT THE GALAXY NEXUS WHY ISN’T THERE A CONFIRMED FULL RETAIL PRICE OR RELEASE DATE FOR IT WHY

    • Anonymous

because verizon is going to keep sitting on it and wait to give the other phones a a fair shot.

    • ShootAngelsFace77x

Why don’t you cry in all caps?  Oh wait….

      • Jason Purp

Why don’t you cry about me crying? Oh wait….

  • Anonymous

    who cares?

    • Keith Sumner

      Sod off.

  • Anonymous

    So it goes like this

    RAZR – 1.2Ghz – Nov 10
Rezound – 1.5ghz, HD screen, Beats and Verizon color scheme to promote beats. – Nov 10
    Galaxy Nexus – 1.2ghz, ICS, 4.7″ HD Super AMOLED. – Nov 17

Why two on the 10th? because Verizon already promoted the RAZR since the Oct 27 pre-order date, allowing for a new device to launch right alongside it the same day., seeing how Rezound will be announced Thursday and will likely go on sale the same day as RAZR.

Rumor has it the RAZR was downclocked to give more reason for future devices such as the Rezound and devices after.   Would it be a Verizon device had it no restrictions? delay? or last minute changes? I think not

    • ShootAngelsFace77x

Nov 17?  That’s the Euro release date which is supposed to be before the US. If VZW holds to it’s Thurs. release day pattern it won’t be on Thanksgiving and the following one will be December.  Don’t hold your breath.

      • Anonymous

Have you read the most recent article on here about the inside rumor being Nov 17 for a possible global launch?  It would make sense to launch a week before Black Friday so they can have a big promotion for all 3 new super phones.

        • ShootAngelsFace77x

That’s funny…. Have YOU read the most recent article with a quote from the Telegraph UK stating a Euro launch will precede the US?

          • Anonymous

Everyone knows the English are liars.

          • Anonymous

Exactly, why in the world would the UK have info the US doesn’t? hmm?  They have no idea what the carriers are planning here, compared to insider sources that work for said carriers knowing there plans.

That same article with the Telegraph quote later down it says that and inside source says the 17th, from the look of things everything got pushed back a week thanks to that announcement delay for ICS causing Verizon to change the schedule a little, and insiders on twitter are now saying it was mostly because there is no Verizon anything on the NEXUS at all, not even logos or Bloatware so they are giving it low priority over the RAZR and Rezound

          • ShootAngelsFace77x

            LOL!

    • Isuckass

Just seen the hour long Samsung galaxy nexus android 4.0 video of new things with android and it looks wonderful. After looking at it I can’t wait to try it, but I don’t understand all the fuse HTC Sense 3.0 and above has had most of these features, not all but most. I am just so happy for android to be officially be more perfected and refined. But from what I understand that my screen on my nexus galaxy home screen will be smaller than 4.3 because of unmoveable Google search widget, notification bar, on screen buttons, and dock shortcuts. This Galaxy Nexus will be the most developer friendly by far. I’m going to get it. Interested in seeing what HTC will do with ICS 4.0 and sense 3.5, that’s why android is so great, there’s something 4 everyone.

      • Anonymous

The screen size is 4.7″ and it will still be like a 4.3″ screen because of the on screen virtual keys, I bet theres a way to remove that Google Widget once developers get there hands on it, that was something i didn’t like myself on the NEXUS, wasting space for something thats not optional.  The virtual keys on the bottom are not as big as you might think they are, plus they even use up less space than capacitive buttons would, which is why ICS phones will be the wave of the future of phones allowing more screen on a same size as a 4.3″ screen device.

Like I said in other comments in the past, I love Sense but i’m getting a little bored with it seeing how there is little to no improvements that are worth the upgrade, I mean Sense 3.0 was a nice upgrade with the new lock screen and improved notifications in the lockscreen as well as media player improvements and the 3D carousel homescreen.  Sense 3.5 on the Rezound makes Rosie look more like glass than the old rubber look and the sense scroller in the other screens is now a square instead of the traditional Oval highlighter.  There might be more improvements but i’m going to deliberately wait till Rezound to try it out, and if i don’t like it, take it back and wait till NEXUS.

        • Anonymous

actually it is 4.65 not 4.7

    • Dominick DeVito

Razr wasn’t downclocked – yes, the OMAP 4430 can go to 1.5GHz, but why push any LTE phone?

The OMAP 4460 is downclocked on the G-Nex, battery life assumptions

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Michael-Forte/542650247 Michael Forte

It’s funny…if there was no Nexus coming to Verizon, this would be the phone everyone would be drooling over.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Michael-Forte/542650247 Michael Forte

It’s because they do. Everyone acts like it’s some godly phone. People are getting as bad as iPhone users. OMGWTFBBQ NEXUS FTW!!

I understand everyone is excited about the first Nexus phone on Verizon but geez. No need to flood every single comment section with Nexus this or Nexus that. Oh this article isn’t about the Nexus. BLAH BLAH NEXUS NEXUS NEXUS!!

There seems to be quite a few kids on here these days, I do agree with you.

          • YouKnowItsTrue

Yeah it’s cyclical.  See if you can answer these questions if you read Droid-Life comments.
            1. Who loves Motorola more than life?
            2. Who defends the Bionic like it’s the best phone ever?
            3. Who says “u mad bro” more than anyone around?
            4. Who hates HTC sense like Satan created it?
I want to do one about that Dominick guy, but I think it’d get flagged in a heartbeat.

          • Madcow06

For number 2 I think it’s more like who defends the Bionic because it really is a good phone. They defend it from people who bash it as the worst phone ever just because they’re mad it was delayed for so long. So let’s be honest, is it a good phone? Yes. Is it the best phone ever? Not by a long shot.

          • Pennywise

Just the best phone on the Verizon market right now.

          • LiterofCola

            lmao@ getting flagged

Even though I will probably get the nexus over the razr I think it’s funny how upset everyone gets over it. All I can think of is the angry mobs in southpark. Mayor: “The galaxy nexus will not launch in the US tomorrow” Angry Mob: “RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE”

        • Nex_1975

Its a phone many of us site readers and developers have been waiting for.  As far as I can tell no one has made a claim to loving it simply because it was a Nexus but rather because of what it offered.  You really come across like someone who just bought a device and now has buyer remorse or for some unknown reason cannot get the Nexus and thereof decides to hate on it.

Point me in the direction of some posts where people say they only want the phone because it is a Nexus or the apple equivalent claim “it has a fruit logo on the back”…

People want it cause of the update support, non-encrypted bootloader, display, ICS on launch, Non-skinned interface, NFC, and on and on

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Michael-Forte/542650247 Michael Forte

To tell you the truth, the reason why I really don’t want the Nexus is because Samsung makes it. I am sorry but I don’t want a plasticy phone with shitty radios. At least Motorola makes a solid device with good radios. I hate the locked bootloaders as much as anyone else here, but in the end I want a phone that can actually get a signal when I need it to. I can still run custom ROMs, and will have CyanongenMod thanks to  2nd-init, so I’m good. I can’t wait until the Nexus comes and there’s problems with it and everyone whines because they thought it was some perfect phone. Sorry, there is no perfect phone.

          • Nex_1975

So you hope for people to have problems with their purchase?  Real mature…  I hope its everything it is expected to be and more.  If there are mistakes I hope they are minor.  Not just for me but for everyone that purchases it

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Michael-Forte/542650247 Michael Forte

No, just so people will get off their Nexus high horse. I actually hope it does very well, that way Verizon will continue to offer Nexus devices. *hopes for a Motorola Nexus next year*

          • Nex_1975

You realize that the reason most people don’t care about who manufactures the device is because Google will be holding their hand through the process.  This is the phone Google backs and if you think it will let a Nexus device slip through with major flaws then you are wrong.  Obviously there will be problems I am sure but there is an added sense of security with Google labeling it a Nexus.

          • Anonymous

I agree.  But I do look forward to the Motorola Nexus. Especially after Google takes over Moto.

          • Anonymous

I am on the same boat. The next moto nexus quad core device :)

if moto makes the next nexus, it may just be the first phone i pay full retail for…however, if the tmiing for the next one is this time next year, i have an upgrade at that time too…so…

          • LiterofCola

I can see where Michael is coming from, to an extent mind you.  I don’t like or hate any phone whether it be Razr, Nexus, Rezound etc.  And of course everyone is entitled to their opinion on what they prefer in a smartphone.  I for one have been waiting for the Nexus since the GS2 was revealed NOT to come to Verizon.  At the same time I’ve been eyeing the Razr as well since it came on the scene.

They are great phones for different reasons that appeal to different tastes and preferences.  What is irritating (yeah, irritated, bro ;p) is when someone throws out their phone preference in the form of a comment, and someone from the opposite camp blatantly bashes that person for their choice.  The past few months, the site has been flooded with; “Good luck with no removable battery,” “good luck with no removable SIM card,”  “Why do you want that piece of %$#?”  “bootloader this and that” “This phone is the end all and be all of phones and you’re wrong for not thinking so also” kind of nonsense.  That is what Michael was referring to, if I’m wrong Michael then ignore this.

But to be honest, everyone here is a phone fanatic, thats why we’re here.  And tension is high because of pushed back dates and the lack of communication from carriers and manufacturers, but that’s no reason why people can’t relax and have a good discussion.

            My two cents.

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Graham-Cluck/1848256183 Graham Cluck

well said, and I completely agree. The bashing is dumb, because all the phones you mentioned are beasts in their own right spec wise. They’re just different from each other, but that’s a GOOD thing. If all of these were the same, people would be bitching about that. You’re just going to win with some people. Michael comes off a little hateful, but I get his point at least. But I do hope the Nexus is a big success, because it’ll make Verizon want another one to carry down the road.

          • Anonymous

bashing is fun sometimes, if somebody can not take that, they are just cry babies. At the end it is your pick and your choice no matter what other people say am i right?

          • Anonymous

            Good response.

          • Guest

            VERY WELL SAID!!!

          • Jarred Sutherland

Yeah, Google would NEVER let a Nexus device come through with problems.

However, you forget the first Nexus which shipped with nothing but email support and a boat load of bugs (not to mention bugs throughout other Nexus devices). Do you choose to have a bad memory or is it just that bad naturally?

EVERYONE has bugs, to think otherwise just makes you look foolish.

          • Russell Robinson Jr

“Nexus high horse.” So you’re saying everyone who wants a Galaxy Nexus over the RAZR is on a high horse, eh… You’re going on about the RAZR being a better device with better radios without actually having/using either phone, and trying to justify your purchase with third-party modifications. You sound just as bad about what you are apparently ranting about.

What about, regardless of the obvious developer-centric reasons for wanting it, faster software updates and the advantage of already starting out with ICS?

          • Turd_Ferguson

Way to blow something way out of per-portion.  He did not say the RAZR was better, but that Motorola makes better hardware. which they do! no stop bashing the guy because he like alot of DL readers are tired of comments about the NEXUS on a Non-Nexus Article.  and yes I’m waiting for the nexus too, doesn’t mean i have to be a NEXUS homer and comment on every DL article about it.

          • Anonymous

Moto has proven who they are and what type of devices they can make. Do’nt even try to compare moto with samsung.

Forte, when that happens it will be the best day in the history of the smartphone industry :)

          • Anonymous

The nexus will disappoint you. You will come back in here crying about the battery life and the plastic feel. You are clueless.

          • Anonymous

Man, you back on here bashing people again!!    You are the type of person that this thread is talking about. You’re always bashing people on on all of the posts on DL.

Tell you what Angel_Face, just relax  and enjoy your Bionic, When you have something smart, refreshing, and most of all intelligent to say that has words of more than one syllable, we will listen :)

          • Anonymous

Lol you are funny. I wonder why so many people get mad when I write the facts about some devices. You will find trolls here and there lol. You are one of the biggest troll in here, you are always bashing motorola because they lock their bootloader. Do you consider yourself smart then lol?

          • Anonymous

Hmmm, Well, lets see your first Android device was a DX, and since then all of your comments don’t seem to be understandable, Not one of your comments gives any substance to a conversation except to bash people and call them names. My comments have been about Motorola bootloaders, VZW’s bloatware, The bionic being a bust due to being 8 months late and then deploying the Bionic knowing the RAZR was just around the corner in 3 weeks time. Wow thanks Moto for making the Bionic users feel stupid for buying that device.

You’re known on this site for not having anything credible to say as well as starting childish rants with people just because your Bionic is already outdated earlier than any other smartphone in history. See what i did there?? I’ll let you try to fiqure that out and get back to me. If you can answer that question, then you’re not as slow as I thought. But, if you can’t then maybe we need to have a longer discussion.

          • Anonymous

How many kids do you have? I guess around 3 which mean that you are an old man and you are arguing about devices in a website lol. Do you think I care what people say. You better mind your business and take care of your family instead to be here kissing ass to the moderators .

          • Anonymous

Dude, se what I did there you keep prove my point about how ignorant you are about how much you know. And, I didn’t even have to point that out!!! You do all of the work for me Just like last time :)

          • Anonymous

If I’m ignorant what are you? Like I said mind your own business and don’t cry like a baby because some dudes say that the nexus is wack. You kept saying that moto blur was wack, I did not see nobody crying. Stop making a fool of yourself.

          • Anonymous

Yes, Moto blur is Whacked (Dude, that term is so 80’s) C’mon man, get a clue and upgrade your vocabulary. Moto Blur is a memory hog (I;ll let you try to understand and comprehend what I just said there) and yes I have bashed Moto about there weak bootloaders on their devices, I’ve never said I didn’t. But, i have said that the RAZR is very sharp and that Moto has done a better job with their skin (Blur) and the UI. Nicely done.

So please, speak and try to write intelligently instead of being the BUTT of everyone’s joke on DL and maybe people will respond to you instead of laughing and making fun of you. See what i just did there again!!! Man, How many times do I have to keep proving my point about you???

Waiting for your next reply to see if you’re smart enough to get the hint Hmmmmm

          • Anonymous

Dude this is the Internet. Are you that stupid, that you care about what people say. I did not know that you were a grammar nazi lol. I can see that you are getting upset. The only joke in here and is you. You are the frustrated family man looking lol.

we wont hear about the problems, because people will be hiding, avoiding the “i told ya so’s” however, if it turns out to be exactly what everyone is hoping(which i sincerely hope it will, even though i hate samsung, and i pre-ordered the razr) you’ll be hearing about it til you want to blow your computer up

          • Anonymous

            That’s true.

What would you rather have, a device made from stainless steele, Kevlar, diamong cut aluminum, and gorilla glass, or a device that’s curved, made from cheap plastic, and covered in hyper skin? Yep, not a hard decision really. The first one sounds like a real nice smartphone, the second an adult toy for the lady friend. Which one do you want to have next to your face?

          • Anonymous

            That’s a loaded question. :-)

          • Anonymous

Samsung always put bad radios in their device.

          • Anonymous

The Bionic is plastic, back creaks and it has severe connectivity issues.

Motorola used to make quality devices, but not so much in the last year.

          • Anonymous

the back of the bionic is plastic not the whole device.

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Graham-Cluck/1848256183 Graham Cluck

Moto definitely is better in call quality, and I can speak from personal experience. The Charge I just got out of was not consistent at all. My Bionic is fantastic in that regard. However, Samsung has their pluses as well. Cameras are MUCH better on most Samsungs (though HTC has them both beat), and that plastic is actually quite durable, even if it does scratch fairly easily. Then again, this is why we have cases like the Otter Box. TouchWiz is also the devil in my eyes, while Blur has gotten much better IMO. Sammy has better displays generally as well. Bottom line is this: you can’t go wrong with either the RAZR or the Nexus. It’s going to come down to personal preference. But to just bash one or the other is goofy. I’m just happy I get to sell both as well as the Rezound. No doubt VZW has the best Android lineup going into the holidays, and I don’t think it’s close.

          • Anonymous

Those devices will nice all of them, but its going to come down to the marketing. The razor will win the battle .

          • Tnparamedic

Dude, I am on my Second Motorola Device…..I have not been happy with either one, very glitchy & extremely unpredictable….My God the Bionic is full of flaws….I know several folks with Samsung devices on Verizon without ANY PROBLEMS….time for a change….Remember, we have choices as to what WE want to purchase….

          • clempsy81

if motorola radios are so great why do i see so many people with the bionic posting complaints about data dropping. seems like every lte verizon phone is having this problem and it has NOTHING to do with the manufacturers

          • Turd_Ferguson

You are right, which makes it a LTE problem and not the manufacturer.  What he is referring to, with better radio quality is more than likely 3G radios. Why 3G radios? because 4G has not been around long enough to say otherwise. So on the 3G radio subject YES Motorola products have had superior radio quality.  Do you people just make up stuff just to argue or what? If someone disses your device who cares, if you like it. To each their own!  If you have used both then you know the differences, and if you didn’t notice the difference, then it really does not pertain to you.

          • Anonymous

It’s Moto’s first LTE device, there are always bugs in new technology.  An update is coming that fixes the radio issues, it’s already leaked online.

          • Anonymous

The most important features moto has it. Good signal and call quality :)

          • S.H.

I’m with Michael on this one.  Motorola makes a solid device.  I was going back and forth between the Nexus and the Razr.  I went with the Razr.  Mostly because Samsung built the Nexus.  I just don’t trust their devices.  I had a very bad experience with one, as did several of my friends.  I have never had major issues with any Motorola devices.  Besides, I don’t know that I really want a phone the size of an aircraft carrier.  I can dock the Razr and get a full sized keypad and screen if I need it without carrying around Nexus landing strip.  But to each their own.  I’m sure it will work great for some and not for others.  And yes the Razr’s screen is not tiny either.  It’s pushing the limits in my opinion, but still smaller.

          • Guest

then don’t buy it and STFU!!!!

However there are indeed droves of Nexus Fanbois who ransack ever thread the second it’s published with repetitive “I-have-no-idea-what-this-thread-is-about-and-while-have-I-ever-touched-or-spoke-to-someone-who-has-touched-the-GALAXYNEXUSEPIC4GAHHHHHHHHOMGLOLBBQWTF-I-know-for-a-FACT-that-it-is the-best-phone-that-will-ever-exist-and-therefore-whatever-this-thread-about-is-lolsausce!!” fanboi comments.

You are correct though that the Nexus has some very attractive features (assuming Verizon doesn’t lock this sucker up). But by your same token, many don’t want the GALAXYNEXUSEPIC4GAHHHHHHHHOMGLOLBBQWTF because it is made by Samsung (cheap), doesn’t have removable storage, doesn’t have an HDMI output (you have to carry an adapter), doesn’t have a removable battery (which is a big concern given the hotter processor and larger display), is using an older GPU to try and push higher resolutions…

        • http://twitter.com/opticburn opticburn

Actually if the Nexus wasn’t coming I would be all over the Rezound. I was finished with Moto phones after my OG Droid.

          • Anonymous

Same here, although I might take it for a test drive

          • Anonymous

Heck, I just might buy a Rezound to hold me over till the Nexus comes out.

        • Peter D’Antonio

You are right to an extent, I have been reading for the past few months and without fail whenever a device is released nexus people jump all over it as garbage because “there may be something better in the future”.  If this phone had an unlocked bootloader there wouldn’t even be a comparison to the gnex.

I am personally between the two phones but would like to hold both in my hand before I decide.  I like that the nexus has ics out of the box and it will recieve updates. However, if it feels cheap and if the razr is getting ics it will be the razr.

But everyone is drooling over this phone, as well.

The Galaxy Nexus should be quite the spectacular phone, but what’s up with the camera? Only 5mp, plus no replaceable memory? WTF is up with that?

Since when was being thin and light a bad thing? Wasn’t that about a fifth of the hype pouring off the Galaxy SII? And a non-removable battery is peanuts compared to not having SD card support( “the cloud” can kiss my paranoid ass)

      • Granted

Damn straight about your views on cloud issues. You’re not paranoid, I feel the exact same way. I want to actually own things I buy, not just rent them. I can’t lend sometime my new 360 game that it’s only in cloud storage. I’ll hold off as long as I have to. And it will be a little while before ask computing is cloud based, but I’m not going into it with a smile.
