I ended up finding this article after searching for why my Nexus S with super amoled has diagonal lines which is kind of annoying when seeing small letters. I didn’t know anything about Pentile. Now I know why it looks like that.

This kid is stuck in 2010 with his love of Pentile screens…get over your self, they are garbage and that’s why Moto is changing them. Sorry to all you suckers who got duped into the Bionic, but next month all the cool guys will be walking around with HD screens on their HD Droids, HTC Vigors and Sammy Primes.
Let’s see how long your washed out screen will hold up next to a iPhone5…good luck buddy.

That i know but the quality of the display has alot to do with it too. The DROID x2 has the second higher resolution out there and it looks worse than the DROIDX, which has a lower resolution.

Shows how much you guys know about tv’s and picture quality lol, my Kuro is calibrated using DVE and the only tv’s I’ve seen with better pq are the Pioneer Kuro Elites. You need to do a little research about panel technology and how Pioneer set the bar for picture quality. I own the Pioneer PDP-4280HD, get on my level.

i’m a firm believer that people who “can see” the problems at a normal viewing distance have been told that there’s a problem so they make themselves see it…comparing to the original droid and now the driod x, i think the bionic’s screen looks better…

The larger problem with the pentile displays when gaming is the horrible red ghosting, It’s a two-fold problem. Try launching a red bird in Angry Birds.
