My incredible just updated… no issues, quite stable, Watchdog shows my CPU usage dropped almost across the board, this should also effect battery life etc. in addition to being snappier. Saw a couple of cosmetic changes on my lock screen, but overall nothing much that jumps out. Lock screen now has a new timeout setting of 30 minutes (15 was tops before).

yeah .. i read that you could too but i also read that if you do update you lose root and i used unrevoked3 to root my phone and idk if when i update it to 2.3 if the program will work to root it back again .. and i enjoy my rooted programs wayy to much like wireless tether and set CPU so ill pry wait till i see that the 2.3 version can get rooted first.. ive waited this long i can wait a little longer.. i think :S

i am rooted on the Stock Rom .. and yeah from what ive been reading sounds like i wont have to unroot.. however i also read that once you update to the new OTA you lose your root and i rooted my Dinc through Unrevoked and not sure if there program will re root my phone after i update so i might wait because i love my rooted apps like Wireless Tether and Set CPU.. so i wanna make sure i can reroot when i update my phone ya know lol ive waited this long .. a little longer wont hurt… i hope :S

are you rooted on the stock ROM? if so, I don’t see any reason why you should have to unroot to get the update to work. I could be wrong but I am going to try it when its available (rooted as well). The update might unroot your phone when its done though , at least that is what I have heard can happen with some OTA updates.

It’ll have whatever version of Sense the Inc shipped with… HTC doesn’t update Sense when they do Android version upgrades.
