I dig Amazon too but, their cloud music storage is runner up to Google’s at best. Amazon’s service is really picky about where you bought your music. Why no Russian mp3 site love?

Well, it’s not like they wanted to screw their customers over. It’s likely that Verizon just asked them to lock their bootloaders, because Verizon is a greedy jackass of a company. HTC listened to their customers, because they realized that they’d rather have happy customers than a happy carrier.

Thank God!!! Android kicks the living, moral crap out of InferiorPhone, but this is the only thing the Steve’s Army can hold over our head. It would be great to have a legitimate Google Music Store to purchase and organize all of our music needs. We already have Google Music, but we need a system to organize and buy our music, like yes, iTunes. IT’S ALL WE NEED FOR GLOBAL TAKEOVER!!! C/mon Google, make it happen for crying out loud!!!

I’m glad they reversed it, but I’m still upset that they have a corporate mindset that allowed it to happen in the first place. They’re simply responding to what their customers wanted which, while a step above Moto, is still a peg lower than Google (who generally seems to operate in as open a manner as possible as a matter of principle rather than a reaction to outrage).

These were found in the new market app, which was just released a couple days ago. Possible it’s just buried there for when Music possibly launches, which was posited in the original article.

Well that’s pretty evident. But they’re not doing any subscription thing, it seems. And I doubt the service is ready to get out of beta yet. Still kinda buggy.

Jeez, did everyone miss when they announced a month ago they will never lock bootloaders again? And how all of their “locked” phones have been rooted and ROMed pretty quickly? The thunderbolt and incredible 2 have CyanogenMod, for crying out loud!
