Its expensive, I agree. But if you have a iPhone 5 with unlimited data and its not jailbroken, at least you can tether your Laptop, iPad/Android Tablet or your itouch to it. I have seached hi and low and i can’t find any reliable tethering apps for a iphone thats not jailbroken. I tether my itouch to my iphone 5 and least i have Grooveshark, xFinity App, ( cant watch tv unless on wifi) and other tweeks that i wont mention that most people have on a Jail Broken iDevice. It will get me by till if or when someone releases a JailBreak for 6.0.1 on a iPhone 5

I am a Droid owner. $30 of my monthly bill is to covet internet access charges. Quite high, to be sure, nut the price you pay for mobile internet. There are times. I need to print something or I need to download some updates, I see no reason why o can’t hook my phone to my lap top and do that. . I don’t think that should be extra. Things are getting out of hand cost wise. Why should I pay for internet usage twice. Rip off.

Way too greedy… I have Verizon 3G wireless internet and mobile phones; the only real promising internet connection I can get where I live. 4G isn’t even available where I live yet; but it’s available in 2 near-by cities. I’ve been with Verizon since they bought out Alltel and was grandfathered my unlimited plan with them; because it was stipulated in the contract with Alltel when they bought them out. Now, I can’t get a 4G device unless I upgrade and lose my unlimited plan for the Tier plan data package (4gb/$20) and it used to be 2gb/$20. Mind you, I used 23gb per month average on 3G… with my internet capabilities being 15x faster if I upgrade to 4G when I can; you could imagine how much more data our family would use being that the internet will not be as slow. they want to tax $10 for the first gb after the first allowance of 4gb and $5 per gb after. If you do the math it’s the monthly $20 for the 4gb allowance and $10 for the following 1gb and $90 for the remaining 18gb of usage per month. That’s $110 not including the $50-$60 monthly service fee we already pay for 3G. So $160-$170 per month for 15mbps upload mobile internet; because it’s my families primary source of internet and we use it at home 24/7 (Gaming, computer, wifi enabled devices). I don’t know every stipulation concerning overage charges (if there’s a cap on overage charges or not) but still; should I be charged the maximum overage charges every month because my wireless internet serves a different purpose than the average consumer? I want a smartphone, I want 15mbps download, and I want 4G… I’m just not willing to give up my unlimited data package and get taxed so much for it; it’s just not worth it. So, until sprint 4G is available in my area or Verizon offers an unlimited data plan; I’m sticking with 3G
I wish sprint would expand its network to our area to drive competitive pricing and give us an out if we’re unsatisfied with Verizion’s service or pricing.

my aunt has a Thunderbolt and is still using mobile hotspot for free somehow. She told me she had been on the phone with Verizon for hours trying to get the wireless security on it set up for hours and they were like “…how are you even using this?”
