Too bad Archos devices are known to crash, reboot and hang all the time. There’s a reason why they’re cheap.

i absolutely would buy the 8inch! i mean im kind of a phone nerd and i love my android, but realistically if i have a laptop and a smartphone i dont have a huge need for a tablet, it just wouldnt be terribly practical for me, BUT if i could have one for only $280 i would totally buy one just for the sheer novelty of it, because i would probably get $280 worth of use out of a tablet but never the $500 or $600 and ipad or xoom costs. im excited for this

With that OMAP beast? Remember, this thing is half again as powerful (150%) as the XOOM/Transformer/Iconia/Tab 10.1, for half the price.

o.k. there might be some little flaws with this tablet at the beginning as well, but hey: the process of generic android tablets has only started and it’s a thousand times faster than the one we’ve seen with laptops, so mark my words: in December there won’t be doubts about what the android tablets can do, the comparative questions will mostly be: 1.price 2. design 3. unrestrictive use (e.g interfaces, bloatware)

I don’t think these tablets are aesthetically pleasing, but if they perform perfect that’s all that matters.
