I can honestly say I think this phone is a waste.
The only thing that seems different is the fact there’s no physical camera button.
Is it released with GB? As far as I know, it isn’t, making it even more of a pointless device.

BUT…I think Motorola makes extremely good devices.

Verizon isn’t getting rid of 3G, they plan on upgrading most all areas of 3g to 4g by 2013. Plus in many areas, there still isn’t 1G. Where I live in VT, we have spotty cell coverage and some areas with 3g. We won’t see 4G for 2 years so why not spend a little less on a more powerful phone without LTE now and when 4g Becomes available, spend the money then. It’s pointless to get a slower phone just because it has a technology I’ll never get to use prior to the point at which i’d need to replace it. This phone has replaced my Samsung omnia and for the last two days I’ve been EXTREMELY happy. It’s my first Foray into Android and I think many who have WinMo 6.x Phones will take this step instead of iOS. Good first Droid Phone I’d say.

I upgraded from the Droid X to the X2 and I have to say that the original Droid X with Gingerbread on it is much better and stable. It rbeoots constantly, battery life sucks on froyo, its missing the camera click button which I’m not impressed with and the screen quality seems really crappy! Oh, and it hangs a lot too

thought about selling me X, and getting the X2. i think i’ll wait for 2.3 on friday, and see how i feel afterwards. I do want to get a definite release date for the Bionic, though.

Also lets not forget that Verizon has said that in the year 2013 they plan on getting rid of 3G all together. So now in 2 more years you will have to buy a new phone anyways. Why not just buy a 4G phone now.
