i’ll have to look into that then…i’ve also changed roms back to stock rooted, from liquid smooth gingerbread…so maybe that’ll help

Looking forward to installing it. I’ve been using the free version from Amazon free a day. It’s one of the first things I install whenever I install a new rom. I don’t like Swype or Flex. I really love the predictive text. What new features are in the beta?

How do I find it and make it work on my Droid once downloaded? I downloaded the file on my desktop, connected the phone via USB and copied the file to SD, but now can’t find it.

i had an issue with Flext9 where it wasnt allowing to me to send my text messages…i picked it up when it was free, and am hoping it’ll work on whatever phone i upgrade to…

I also tried to stick with FlexT9 after it came out free on Amazon, and eventually, started getting mad every time I’d see it appear. ”Where’s my SwiftKey??” Anyway, I’ve changed back and just now got the Beta 2 (thanks to this post!) and I love it so far. All the good stuff about the original SwitfKey with more toys

I’ve tried them all … I keep coming back to SwiftKey. For the longest time, I was a Swype evangelist, dating back to my OG DROID. Lag and high memory use finally killed that for me, and is exactly what impressed me most about flexT9. FlexT9 seems to give you what Swype did (with some minor changes regarding multiple letters, capitalization, etc.) but with way better performance.

But dang it if I didn’t keep coming back to SwiftKey. It’s too good at knowing what you want to type next, and I love the speed at which I can let the keyboard auto-complete whole sentences for me. I don’t love pecking away at the keys to get a word going, but I don’t have to peck much because the prediction is so good.

If Swype or FlexT9 would introduce SwiftKey-like prediction, or if SwiftKey would introduce swyping in addition to its amazing prediction, that’d be the ultimate combo.

Until then, it’s SwiftKey FTW for me.
