I agree also. If I had an update I would probably have gone for this phone. Since my update is pretty far off, if the phone had been a dual core or tegra device that would have pushed it over for me. 90% of what I use my droid 2 kb for is playing games anyway, and I found touchscreen kbs I like so that isn’t really an issue anymore. Maybe sony will release one with better specs this fall *crosses fingers*. If I’m gonna buy off contract I’d like to know it has some sort of life ahead of it! I like moto, but the whole Droid 2/X locked down thing has solidified I’ll never buy another moto.

I bought a white unbranded/unlocked AT&T capable Xperia Play on the 9th, haven’t been able to put it down much since. You guys are going to love this phone. The keys are a little small at first but you get used to them quickly. Emulation on a real game pad is so freaking sweet. The build is solid and I have no problems with the brightness unlike what some people are saying. This is actually probably the nicest phone I’ve owned in a long time, and Sony Ericsson did a great job with it. Interested to see how the Verizon model fares…

Hey! Do any of you intelligent Droid-Commercial, I mean Life users, from back in the day, remember when this site was all about the members here, and we always had cool stuff we could download and learn about, instead of being propositioned ever post? For every new phone and accessory that we just have to buy! Or even better the old “Insert Marketing Form Here” followed by “what do you guys think? Anyone still interested? Who’s getting this? Is it worth it?”, shitty attempt at trying to act like your not just trying to whore your loyal readers, with every shitty over priced accessory we don’t want or need, check out this new phone after the one I just told you to buy is obsolete and forgotten garbage?

You remember how when ever new Droid branded phone came out, and you knew you could always count on Droid- Verizon- Google- Motorola- Secretly Apple- Life, to have the new awesome live wallpaper apk of that phones boot animation? Or maybe even when you didn’t feel like every annoying ass stupid commercial you’ve ever seen and a marketing firm had gay sex and the resulting bastard child’s name was Kleenex the self proclaimed Hyperbeast? Which sounds like some dork’s, dream of a fantasy animal made up of one part anti-integrity, with two parts of forgetting the reason you developed a large reader base to begin with, and a little hypocrisy thrown in for good measure.

Meh, it’s official. Verizon says due to an agreement with Sony Ericsson, much like with the Apple iPhone 4, they can not honor corporate discounts or bill pre-purchases for the Xperia Play against your account until after the release date. She also said the same as the other support person (who was far less helpful) in that the stock is moving really fast. I’m stuck till the 26th and most likely longer because I got a bad feeling this will be back ordered in 24-72 hours from now.

I hope to get this device next week, so i’m very excited!
I love my charge but have been waiting for this for awhile now.

Unlike most of the complainers, I think this is a great device for
Verizon to get and I am eager to play around with the phone &
I hope next week in my free time I can try and do my first
youtube review…if i decide to get it!
