Do you have any launchers such as ADW? If you do make sure your desktop is not locked. At your home screen, press the menu button and within the options menu, you should know if your desktop is either locked or unlocked. Unlock it.

BTW, it still has the timestamp bug! If you use an SMS backup app, incoming messages may not get backed up as they will appear to have arrived hours in the past. One message I just received shows that it “arrived” 5 hours ago. On the phone, it will display the correct time. However, if you back up SMS/MMS messages with an app like SMS Backup+ it will show the message as arriving at whatever the time was in Greenwich Mean Time. This seems like a simple enough fix. Not sure why it wasn’t fixed. Maybe it will be in the official release?
