Well, Amazon paid for the rights to distribute, so they have the right to require you to install their app. Don’t like it, don’t install it, and don’t f’n complain about it. You probably have 10 other apps on your phone taking up space tat you use once in a Blue Moon, yet you wanna complain about 1 app you might use a few times more than that.

I’m all for opposing DRM, but you do realize that Amazon’s MP3 store has always been DRM free, right? There’s just an ID3 tag indicating the id, and that’s it…

well I got it to install to the 2gig card from the DX but cant seem to transfer it to the 16 gig … I got the apk vzn42589 onto the card but it wont install from there, still get the error message. Any tips?

I dont see an .android_secure folder when I connect to my macbook but if I use Astro it shows up … cannot figure out how to get this thing installed, called customer service, got no help, any suggestions? It seems the file smdl2tmp isnt on my phone??

No, it IS a massive problem. I’m without Angry Birds Rio now…don’t really care, don’t even like Angry Birds. But I will care when when other developers start to make the move there, for whatever reason. Piracy is a legitimate concern, but encouraging proprietary DRM is not the solution – history has shown that to be an utter disaster in pretty much every case.

Come on. Give Apple a break. they need to make money somehow. After android phones were released and basically started to slowly end iphones popularity Apple lost alot of money. lmao. they need to make it back somehow. even if it means looking like complete retards and most likely losing the law suit.

No. it’s not a massive problem. it’s barely a small problem. all android phones come with a market that lets u download free and paid apps but amazon just released their own market. and one of the exclusive apps is an angry bird app. You know about angry birds? you should. theres already 2 angry birds apps on the original market. well amazon released an exclusive angry birds app into their market. I have a really easy and simple solution if u dont want 2 markets taking up space on your phone to play 1 of the 3 angry birds. Just don’t download the amazon market and dont download the exclusive angry bird app. then there won’t b any reason to complain and you can even download 2 of the 3 angry birds apps on the original market.

Anybody have trouble running the app? I get it installed & all but when I try to play it, it force closes on me.
