I see to a point what you are saying and i agree google, motorola, and verizon could be a little more transparent about when they plan to release these promised features as we paid 800 with these features in mind. However, like I stated before it doesn't fully fall on motorola as they have provided the equipment and was ready to release the Xoom. They had to release it soon as all companies right now are struggling to get something competitive to market to compete with the ipad. Apple is dominsting in this space. Why should motorola wait and delay their finished product because their partners have yet to finish their obligations? Even without these features the Xoom does a great job in competing with the I pad and that was all motorola, verizon, and google needed to do. An product that is waiting for updates is better than a delayed product because it is on the shelves. They have to get something out as i believe there is a huge market of people that don't care for the ipad and apple products, but if they don't have an option they will get an ipad. They faced an uphill battle and needed to gte a product out and fast. I am very happy with my purchase of the Xoom. I feel that the 799 price tag was fair. For what you get I was more than happy to pay. The wifi only will be in the market soon and that will offer another option to compete. I get so sick of seeing the comments complaining that the Xoom is too expensive and will fail cause they didn't hit the 599 mark. The differences between the 16 gb wifi only I pad and the 32 gb 3G/4G Xoom are huge. If people don't want thisversion then wait for wifi. Me I have been waiting for this tablet and i wanted a 3G/4G tablet as i need it on the go. I finally see the need for a product in between a smartphone and laptop. You can't totally say the Xoom is horrible just because features are missing that other companies are responisble for. If you want to blame someone for missing features then blame, adobe, google, and verizon as they are the reason for these updates, but no one can argue that once released they will'have a huge leg up on the ipad and that is good for us consumers as all competition is. Don't discount the Xoom just yet as it will continue to be the best (at least from the tablets annoumced) for a few more months and being a google experience device we will see some awesome things come out of both 3rd party development and also from xda. Having an unlockable bootloader was probably the main reason that made me want this tablet and to be honest I haven't put it down since launch.

Sorry if I was out of line ans I didnt want to come across as attacking you I just didn't see your point nd you are entitled to your opinion but you are coming across as an ignorant apple fanboy and most of your posts are nothing more than meaningless rants flaming posts that we look forward to read. Just tone it down a little. I love forums and all cause you see different points of view and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but flaming gets us no where. Sorry if I my posts come off as if i am attackimg you I frankly was tired of seeing your posts that started nothing but arguments. Good luck my friend.

I don't think anyone really gives a $hit about the update, they are just more happy about Moto's stance towards rooting/unlocking. I know for myself as happy with my DX I am unlikely to get a Bionic if they don't maintain this attitude for that device as well.
As for the blind Android enthusiasm, well, check the url up top, not expecting to see that shows not much thinking on your part. I know you say you owned it all but that doesn't mean we believe you as I'm sure many people looking to start a comment war (anything more lame?) will declare they have one and it sucks when they don't, just saying.

No, I don't think you understood their point. You came into a Droid forum, for no other reason than to bash the product. They deal with criticism outside of the forum every day, in every way, (at least I do). The point of this forum is not to criticize the product but to discuss, enhance and find new and interesting things about those products.

You talk about "this 'update' is a shame', it won't give you flash ...", you also mention how with "xoom they lost", you don't really make any sense to be honest. There are a couple of reasons. The ipad after more than a year still does not have flash support. True, Adobe caved on this whole wallaby crap and conversion to html5, I'll be interested to see how awful that works btw, but you claim that the Xoom lost because of that? Really? Or the fact that at least the Xoom is planned to give 4g access to this, when even the second generation of the iPad cannot? Really? Or what about the awful cameras that the second generation iPad FINALLY received, when even the first one didn't have it? Oh let's not forget that in order to use an iPad, even the second generation you have to connect it to a computer loaded with iTunes, (the correct version no less), and then get it working. Even for system updates you must do that.

I'm sorry, but Apple lost with the iPad...not Google or Motorola with the Xoom. The Xoom is a product that by definition is at least equal to the iPad 2 at release, if not superior, (camera's). When the flash support and 4g connection are released the Xoom will leap ahead. Along with all other Honeycomb tablets coming up.

Get your facts straight.
