Although I did just recently break my phone, and have no insurance and Verizon customer service (not retail store) offered to force my upgrade but I declined to wait for new Droids. It’s like a car: People want a stylish, super-good looking car that’s going to turn heads (Hardware design), They want the car to drive well, not sputter and stall, and they want the car to be durable so it can handle the elements (OS). And of course they want it to be energy-efficient thus getting excellent gas-millage (Battery life).

Thank you for suggesting this idea. We are looking into what caused the implement flag in our Get Satisfaction page, but we are not actively implementing the solution suggested above. As communicated yesterday, we are still looking at bootloader solutions that will meet the needs of both our developers and protect our end users. It is very similar size wise to the X but has a higher resolution screen,LTE compatibility and a dual core processor.

Of course it’s not available everywhere. Not that’s the point and that’s why they revert back to 3G is needed. That would be really stupid if it wasn’t 4G. I’d like updated specs from my Droid 2 but right now this thing has plenty of power for virtually anything I throw at it. The only way I’d spend another $200+ dollars to upgrade it would be for 4G. Seriously, how many programs out there really push the 1ghz processors right now anyway? Not many..
