No, you ARE a moron. The .01 change actually impacted the contracts. This DOESN’T. You’re grandfathered in until you use your current NE2, at which point you’re starting a NEW contract. There is NO change to the existing contracts, only new and renewed ones will be changed. Are you always this dense or is it only when you try to BS your way through contract law?

And I also love your attempt to slam someone you don’t know over their age, which isn’t even relevant to the argument. Not only did you deviate from the original premise, but you also had to pull the deviation out of your ass. 23 years old sir, and I promise, quite a bit further along in contract law than yourself. (Not to mention basic logic.)

I’m really not sure I understand all this. As far as I see 20 months is shorter than 2 months, the only thing you are losing is an extra discount on your new phone?

I feel like I’ve been getting screwed all these years thinking the promotional price is a good deal???

so if i get this right this basically means they are no longer giving the $100 new phone credit to 2yr contracts (new sign ups or after current 2 yr expires)…am i right on this? Will they still offer 2 yr contract pricing?

Anyone looking forward to this would have lost their unlimited data plan anyway, when you signed up for a new contract. For me, I will keep my X, keep my unlimted data, and most likely will avoid anything that might change my contract. I got into a former Alltel plan and have managed to keep that plan rolling for a few years now. I have 3 lines, more minutes than I can use, unlimted text, and unlimited data on all three lines for $125/month total after taxes. Keep your coupon, I will keep my plan and phones.

Actually, Apple probably would be just as happy if Verizon continued extra discounts on their phones. Verizon still pays [Apple] full price for each phone that it sells, they just are able to offer them to customers at a subsidized price as incentive for signing a big bad 2-year contract, where they (VZW) make the real money.

Ok if you want to call me a moron, however in the past when they changed their text rates by .01 per text that was sufficient to allow people to opt out of their contracts without penalty, I guess maybe you aren’t smart enough or been around long enough (thats my guess you are probably about 19 years old) to know that. As stated below this does not alter your pricing, but it does make a significant change to your overall contract.
