You ever find a fix, ? I rolled back the install. of gmail 2.3 but still not receiving my email without manually synching

Funny thing happened last night with this app. The new version 2.3 downloaded and installed all by itself with out me promting for it to do so.

I just happened to pick up my phone at one point last night and saw that it was downlaoding all by itself. Weird.

Anyone else have this happen?

Anyone else having it show the splash screen with features every time you go in after a new message? Installed and works fine on my DROID, but every time I get a new message it shows me the friggin' splash screen. What the heck?
