Lithium Music Player: (Free Trial and $1.99) I just downloaded this great little music player on a free trial basis. Seems that the folks who made Lithium Music Player have it available for free for a few more days to try it out, so get on over there and give it a shot! It sports a highly interactive interface with intuitive controls and sync support for Last.Fm. I personally really enjoy this one!

Nature Alarm: ($1.00) Looking for a more pleasant way to wake up in the morning? Nature Alarm brings you soothing natural sounds and a vibrant interface. There is a button to download more ringtones and alarms as well as the ability to use your own files as alarms and ringtones built in.

Credit Alarm: (about $1.50) Credit Alarm is a handy tool that reminds you when you are about to reach the limit of your minutes and texting allowances. It can be set to either standard, bundle, or prepaid plans. It can also calculate and factor in roll over minutes. This can be an extremely handy tool for those of us who like to talk a lot!

GeoStar: (about $1.25) GeoStar is a geography quiz on the market that takes countries from around the world and tests the users knowledge about them. This program is fantastic for those looking to brush up on their world capitals and such. Settings can be adjusted for the user making this a great way to learn for people of any age.

PhoneFraze Pro: (Lite/Free Themes and $0.99) Phone Fraze is an interactive game experience that is akin to Charades. Each person passes the phone back and forth or around a circle (or head to head), trying to get others to guess what phrase they are gesturing. Last one holding the phone loses! Many different theme packs and more words available with Pro version.

Blink: (Free) Ever wonder why the only color you seem to get on your Droid’s LED notification light is Green? Wonder no more my dear friends! With Blink, you can customize that little LED into whatever color you choose! This app allows you to choose from a variety of colors for each different situation so you can differentiate between SMS, MMS, Phone Calls, and even Low Batteries.

I uninstalled Blink because it kept telling me I was low on memory, and even when I tried disabling those notifications, it kept sending them. Nice concept, but too annoying. Uninstall.

Dont really need blink, new mms app and handcent both support colored led notifications.

handcent doesnt work with froyo yet .. well last i knew it didnt .. what mms app are you talking about ??

Handcent is supported on froyo, been running since day 1 of froyo rom release.

Settings right inside of it to change led colors. Best app for msgs IMO

I was using it for froyo an the Leds Never worked once was a known problem with it as far as the forms an posts on the apps were saying .. Not sure how you lucked out i am running BB an it doesn't work with that either ..

Since this is the weekly app roundup, would I be out of line asking what the internet-browser-du-jour would be? I've been using Skyfire, but am perplexed why it turns on my GPS every time I open it. Dolphin HD doesn't, but Dolphin doesn't particularly play nicely with flash media (whereas Skyfire does).

Anyhow — thought there would be some folks with opinions on a browser in here

I've been using the xScope browser exclusively. It handles Flash very nicely with Froyo too. xScope has been noticeably faster than Dolphin and Skyfire in my experience.

The only differences I saw in the description is for more favorites and open/send files.. I paid for it since it's my default app and I probably use it everyday. What I like best is the developer has threads in the androidforums.com and droidforums.net sites and answers just about every question thrown at him along with taking in all of the suggestions (and implementing them too).

It was irresponsible of you to mention a program and not mention that it only works for two specific models of phone, regardless of if you want to admit it.

If this site was ONLY for the Droid, as you said, then why do you guys not mention this doesn't work on the Incredible, which is a Droid phone?

Maybe YOU should think about what you're saying before you say it.

Also, did you actually REVIEW this app before you blindly posted it on your site? It's clearly an insanely buggy program evidenced by all of the comments on this page.

I would try uninstalling it. What device did you put it on? The app clearly says Droid/Milestone only.

I had the same problem..I uninstalled it, now my LED is working again..darn it I didnt read that it wasnt for Moto Droid..Lesson learned

Anyone have recommendations for an alarm app that can use streaming music(Pandora, Last.Fm, etc.) for the alarm? All of the ones I've tried either use pre-loaded sounds, or audio files on your phone.

I've used Lightning Bug for a while now. It worked great on 2.1 ROM's. I just went to a 2.2 Froyo finally as a new permanent ROM on Monday though. I'm not sure if it's that or LB getting a major update around the same time but I did have an oddity this morning where the alarm sound played for about 1 second. It didn't do that yesterday though and resetting LB it worked fine this morning a 2nd time.

I use math alarm. It works very well and won't turn off until you solve a few problems. Don't start out on hard, math is a lot tougher when you first wake up.

Wonderful, ANOTHER music application. Here's a tip to developers: the first group to produce a quality music playing app with a damn EQUALIZER (ideally with some presets already loaded) will get my $1.99 or whatever. I have and love bplayer and will happily switch to whoever comes out with that.

That's what I was thinking. I have MixZing, 3 (cube), and the stock music app (pplus Last.fm, Pandora, and Rhapsody) – why would I want to PAY for another music app?

As you said, an Equalizer would be nice. I also wish the stock music app had the ability to play a genre like MixZing does.
