  • Will this year’s Nexus devices be available for purchase through carriers? If not, do you think that Google should consider device payment plans like carriers?

  • When did we all apparently convince every OEM that ultra thin phones are important or even desirable? It seems like consumers, for the most part, all agree that we’d rather have our phones be a little bit thicker in favor of extra battery and for the absence of camera bumps, yet thin is still in.

Speaking of thin, how bad of decision was it for Lenovo/Motorola to not only delay the Moto Z, but to also keep the more desirable model exclusive to Verizon, especially considering when the unlocked model finally does get released, it will be up against the next line of Nexus devices in addition to every other big name phone that gets released around that time?

Is there a reason not obvious to the average user why some phones have such huge bottom and/or top bezels? I don’t understand how phones with capacitive/physical navigation keys tend to have a smaller bottom bezel than phones with software keys. What’s the chin for? I imagine the Moto Z line has a huge chin due to mods attaching and I understand why phones with front speakers have big bezels, but what about everything else? The G5 has a huge forehead and the G4 had a noticeably bigger chin than the G3.

Do tablets really have a point anymore? And do you think we’ll ever see a product similar to the Microsoft Surface, but with Chrome OS and Android?

Are there any quality RPG’s for mobile that are similar to console/PC RPG’s like Baldur’s Gate, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls, Fallout in the sense that you get to create a character, choose how you develop them over the course of the game, and get the feeling like the choices you make in game are actually choices that you as your character made that actually mean something and will affect the story and world around you rather than the typical linear RPG that has a great store, but, in reality, is really just holding your hand throughout it?

What reason is there not to buy a OnePlus 3 if you’re still using one of last year’s flagships?

  • I’ve used several phones in the last several years and for the most part have had an opportunity to play with pretty much every flagship out there. Knowing the droid life team has more experience and time with all of them out there. What manufacturer would each of you want to make your perfect phone? What’s specs would that perfect phone have? What new innovations or upcoming innovations would you implement in your perfect phone?

  • should I remove the screen protector that comes with OP3 to install the tempered glass one?

  • Do you think that the business of bad battery life (chargers, battery banks, charging cases, etc.) is too big for OEMs to seriously invest and implement in new battery technologies?

  • Since you are switching between phones all the time, what do you do to make sure all your data is properly synced between devices? It doesn’t seem Android has one app that backs up all of your app data, along with WiFI, Bluetooth, SMS and other system settings.

  • Will LeMoto come out with more mods before the Moto Z launch? If they don’t, are the current ones exciting enough?

  • Why are you guys not more active on Google+?

I know you use whatever plugin to auto post articles on there, but I never see any involvement. Do you prefer Facebook over G+ or something?

  • Pick any smartphone company you would like to work with. If they said we want to create a phone just for you. what would the specs and design look like?

  • Does anyone use a VR headset for their phone on a regular basis? For as much as VR is being pushed, I still can’t get past the “cool factor” and see where it actually becomes something you would use more than a few times.

  • What’s Tim going to do with all that OnePlus money he got for calling it the “phone of the year” already?

      • I’m not dead set on it, no. Battery life is the most important thing to me.

I assume you’re asking because if I said yes you would say Nexus 5x but, I thought you could easily flash the latest build on the Moto X Pure?

          • It’s what leaning toward but, I haven’t held a 5x…can’t find one in stock anywhere.

          • If battery life is more important to you then go with the N5X. It manages battery pretty great with the FullHD screen. Plus, you get a better camera and a fingerprint scanner. Tbh the Pure has a tiny battery for the screen it has. If you go for looks tho the Pure is a clear winner since it feels great in the hand and is overall a sexy device, while the 5X is meh.

          • But….3,000 mAh on the Moto and 2,700 mAh on the 5x? Does it manage battery enough to compensate for 300 mAh loss?

          • Don’t forget it’s 5’2” 1080p vs 5’7” QHD display. Yeah the 5X easily hits 3.5 4 hrs screen on time (with no compromises and mixed WiFi and Data usage) while the Pure will struggle to even hit the 3.5hrs mark. BTW I’m not talking out of my ass, I actually had both phones for 2 months until I sold the Pure and broke the 5X haha. Now I’m stuck with the Nexus 5.

  • What are your thoughts on buying year old phones at a discount, such as MXPE @ $100 off or Nexus 5x? You often post the deals but a monthly/weekly column on phones under $400 could be interesting.

  • when will we be able to purchase a chromebook, with a satisfactorily high capacity SSD ? the Nexus 6P has the 128gb option, why can’t a chromebook? but wait, that’s not all, in addition to running android apps, I want this chromebook to have a detachable screen so it can be a tablet, and I also want this chromebook to be thin and lightweight with a nice battery life. When…….. Will…….. We….. Get……. This ?????????

  • Do you think LG should give up on having a removable battery and follow the sealed battery trend other flagships have adopted?

  • Do you guys ever get tired of your job? New phones, constantly switching daily drivers etc.?

  • What do you guys think about huawei skin on their mobile devices? Don’t you think is helding the company back a bit? Because their hardware designs is almost perfect. I think their skin turn so many people off?

  • I asked this question about 10 Q&As ago, but – With Allo and Duo coming out (very soon) what do YOU think is the future of Hangouts? Will it live, or stay? What do you WANT to happen?

    • I think everyone wants an iMessage competitor so pretty much Allo with sms integration used as a fallback. Then they would need some way to make everyone use it.
