Sprint LG G2 Receiving Android 5.0 “Lollipop” Update

• hello.. i am from Pakistan and i am using LG G2 Ls 980ZVD it don’t show system update and i don’t get lollipop update can anyone ttell me how to fix it??

  I am from Pakistan, and I have LG G2 Sprint Spark, and I also got android update and downloaded (630.2 MB), problem is that, when i restart my phone for taking effect of newly downloaded update, phone restart and shows the progress bar, when almost 25 % bar is completed , progress bar goes immediately 100% and phones gets restart, when restart there is no change in the phone, nothing changed, same old kitkat 4.4.2 (ZVE) version, then after 2, 3 days phone starts downloading the update again when download finished it restarts and doing the same thing as i described before, now it downloads the update after every 2, 3 days doing same thing again and again, dont know why it is not updating in new version. can any one help me.

  • same here man… every two three days i get this notification to reboot to update android but it remains the same.

• I had 4.4.2 zve in my ls980
  I got an update of 630 mb an hour ago
  Updated it, but still its on 4.4.2 zve
  Can someone explain this?

• Update sux, I don’t need dumb ass new buttons. Now I have to reconfigure a bunch of crap on my phone. There’s no useful features? “A new look” I’m not an effin Kardashian.

• Hey I am from Pakistan… N I have lg g2 sprint version ls980 .. I got the latest update but hasn’t installed it yet as it says that u must have a sprint network before updating…. So shall I proceed or not…??

• If I no longer have service on my g2 will I still get the update?

• Wish the FM radio actually worked on the Verizon LG G2 or any of their phones for that matter.

• Hope its not as bad as my G2 on ATT since update. battery drain, Wont tun back on after you take if from your face. ETc ETC.

  • Should’ve waited and deleted the OTA updater apk

  • I have verizon and had the battery drain issue also. I found it was due to a few misbehaving apps that were never a problem before. Check what apps are using the most battery. One app I had was using as much as the screen and I didn’t even have it running.

• How the hell does the G2 get lollipop before my note edge?

  • What is that star icon, at approx. what time did you get the update and what state do you live in because. Im just wondering because im in California and seeing how long it takes for me to get the update.

    • Sorry for late reply…. I really don’t know what star was… It went away before investigation but no sign of it now

    • Sorry for the late reply ashan… It just pushed to my phone OTA. Usually it takes a week for me to receive but I just got lucky and it came first thing on the 27th….about 1100 eastern US time

      • I also have LG G2 LS980ZVE in Cincinnati, Ohio and still waiting for an update (Sprint)/(Boost)

        • I think the update is supposed to be on 100% of sprint G2s by May 18th
