According to posts from OnePlus, the company has a “Game Changer” on the way. And no, it’s not a tablet, smartwatch, or its new flagship device.
In typical OnePlus fashion, they want members of their community to guess what it is they are going to announce in April, so the company has posted a few teasers on its forum for interested parties to see.
From what I see in the promo images, which we posted below for you to view, I am expecting a type of gaming device. Possibly Android TV related? Maybe a gaming-oriented handset? Whatever it is, I am confident there is a controller of some sort. With the repeating of the word “game,” and the tag, “for the fun of it,” I feel OnePlus’ next product will be for the gamers among us.
What are your guesses?

All that is known is that OnePlus account revolutionize the sector OnePlus could propose a joystick adapted to its famous OnePlus One, it could also announce its own portable console, everything is possible.
A phone that supports a tonne of LTE bands and VoLTE like the Nexus 6 would be pretty nice.
Give me modern specs and all the radios the N6 has for under $400. I would buy two instantly.
This phone has been labelled the ‘flagship killer’. Except for pricing, the upcoming Samsung S6, spec-wise, makes this phone irrelevant. They’re going to need to completely rebuild this phone to catch up which means this phone won’t be ready to be a ‘flagship killer’ for many more months.
There’s nothing to see here.
Didnt Sailor Twift copyright “Game Changer”? On a related note, moose loik nice, but they are too big to want to be wrong about it.
Game Changer…maybe it’s a remote control to compete with the Harmony Line. But it’s most likely a new level of customer disappointment.
The red ball and lines…. Maybe FINALLY a One+ phone that will work on Verizon? I would have replaced my GS3 with an OnePlus1 already if they worked on Big Red.
those lines make me think 3d doodler.
Pass
Sounds like a game console of sorts. Or gaming related. But don’t matter, no one can buy it anyways.
CDMA?
Clearly, it’s a game console or controller.
One+ that works on verizon, or as someone previously said, one that you can actually buy would be the biggest game changer.
Instead of an invite system, there will be worldwide SSB WiiU tournaments held for the chance to win a phone every 2 weeks.
You forgot between the times of 10 to 1015 est
Cool. So we can look forward to getting our hands on the One Plus Two this time next year on a Tuesday without an invite.
April 2015 or 2016?
Gaming control for the 1+
Maybe this https://forums.oneplus.net/attachments/upload_2015-3-19_14-21-26-png.275206/
is that pork roll?
By “Game changer” do they mean that one will actually be able to buy a phone this time.
No.. They mean you will need 2 invites to get one device.
and for $299? Sign me up.
Cheaper to toss all of your personal info into an envelope and mail it to China.
But why would you do that?
Ask those who buy devices that hold all their personal info from China with no local company to hold responsible if their info is used improperly.
I’m excited to see what would this new product from OnePlus be? Will it beat the top ranking gaming console. /billie_powell from http://www.allreport.org/gaming-consoles/
Just curious, what devices do you have that are NOT from China? Using a vintage 70’s motorola walkie talkie , ’68 Zenith TV and a Philco victrola? Even IF you had a product made with no parts from China, unless a breach of personal data reaches the level of the Target attack and you can get in on a class action lawsuit you stand no chance of holding a “local” company responsible. Their 10,000 lawyers will bury your 1 lawyer under so much paperwork that you’ll have to pay him tens of thousands of dollars just so he won’t sue you for undue stress.
If believing that helps you sleep at night then go right on ahead.
Yeah, I have this really bad habit of believing in reality and facts, gotta quit doing that and put on my tinfoil hat. Good luck with your soup cans connected with a string no Chinese parts celular service, and really, GOOD luck holding any company responsible for losing your personal data. If you’re in the U.S. theres a pretty fair chance that you’re effected by one of the big data breaches in the last year, prove me wrong and make yourself rich, exclude yourself from the class action and “hold them responsible” on your own. Make sure to emphasize your misplaced zenophobic views about the chinese components in the companies servers and computers.
Ill ask once again, what equipment do you have thats Chinese free?
Then you might want to leave fantasy land my friend 😉
You are the one who is insinuating that you have non-Chinese devices, which is a pretty big fantasy unless I’m missing a manufacturer that DOESN’T use Chinese parts, but alas, because you won’t educate the rest of us about the devices you use that are totally free of any Chinese parts, we will continue to be in the dark. Or, you just wanted to sound “edgy” and zenophobic because in your world there has to be a great big scary enemy that is stealing everything. Cite one example with proof of the “Chinese” stealing personal data through mobile devices, not apps, not the B.S. stance the U.S. government took against Chinese device manufacturers, but factual compromises based on the hardware or firmware supplied in Chinese phones. Good luck
Apparently your comprehension skills are lacking.. I never once suggested that I do not own devices made in China. I would bet that a good portion of them are made in China. What I do not own are personal information devices that are designed, built, and sold directly out of China that do not have a domestic headquarters that I can contact and hold accountable if something goes very wrong. You can try to inject more into what I said but it will not work. As I said before, you can justify it any way you like if it helps you sleep better at night.
Since you can’t seem to comprehend what I say and keep trying to insert things that I have not said, I am considering this conversation over. G’Day my friend 🙂
Uh huh, insult then shut down , not passive aggressive are we? Its ok, you think you can hold a company with a domestic headquarters responsible if they are taking your personal data, got it. But what if it’s a vulnerability in the Chinese chipset that the manufacturer didnt know about, OR their security was breached by the NSA as has been reported with hard drives and SIM cards recently? Think you can hold a company responsible for their supplier being breached? Again good luck. It has been PROVEN that the U.S. government, along with several other western governments have compromised our personal security, while to this point only SPECULATED that the Chinese have, government or private, and you CAN NOT sue any company for actions of the government, through covert actions or through legal . Have fun stirring up unfounded discontent in other threadswhile ignoring me.
Yeah, you certainly have more than enough time on your hands to find an invite.
You can buy OPO freely, every Tuesday.
Of odd months on even weeks?
Every Tuesday
Maybe the game changer is that you’ll be able to buy it any day of the week. Imagine that.
You think it’s a problem for somebody to wait 6 days to buy a phone, in worst case?
A first world problem it is, but that doesn’t make it any less stupid. You know why every other store in the world sells their goods on every day of the week, or at least on weekdays? Because they aren’t idiots.
Maybe it will be the official Lollipop rom.
Gaming controller or console??
The game is not going to change….
Will I need an invite to see their announcement?
This is such a SLOW day for news so far
March Madness – it’s basically a national holiday 😉
I literally don’t even know what March Madness is. Something to do with college basketball, I think.
not sure if trolling or just stupid
I realized it was March Madness when Elementary wasn’t on last night
Wait, it isn’t? I had better get to work.
Really?
I guess they’re still at. And No! I’m not smashing my computer on the floor to find out what this is… Nope!
The next thing I want to see from them is their sophomore smartphone…
We have enough gaming accessories…
wahhh boooo invites booooo.
Show us the OnePlus Two soon.
Looks like he should be holding a cheeseburger or a nice turkey club sammich
Wait, we are in control? So does this mean we can actually buy the phone now?
No, not that much control. This is OP after all.
Yes, every tuesday.
yeah i dont know why people are still complaining about invites now that theyre available to buy every week
