AT&T is ready to start ‘thanking’ its customers, with the first phase of the Thanks program kicking off today. Unlike T-Mobile Tuesdays, which is available for all postpaid and prepaid customers, AT&T Thanks is currently exclusive to postpaid customers, which is something to keep in mind if you ever plan on switching carriers or are attempting to weigh your options when seeing which carrier is right for you.
As for what AT&T is thanking its customers with, phase one is a 2-for-1 movie ticket deal. If there is a movie you would like to see with a friend or loved one at an AMC theatre or Regal theatre (the two largest chains in the US), all you need to do is purchase one regular general admission ticket via AT&T’s dedicated redemption site, then receive an extra ticket free of charge. There are no apps to download or server malfunctions to deal with.
Beyond movies, AT&T Thanks is also granting pre-sale ticket access for select shows via Live Nation. This perk won’t be available until later this year, but could be a good way to ensure you see a few of the hottest acts across the country. Note that it is only pre-sale access, and not free concert tickets.
AT&T claims that this is only the beginning and they will be introducing new ways of thanking their customers later down the road.
Have at it, folks.

Worst Customer Service in America.
Thanks for nothing, AT&T – I don’t live near either of those theater chains.
Typical AT&T Following the Leader T-Mobile
maybe they could say thanks be realeasing the note 4 update
That only thanks note 4 owners. But it would be a step in the right direction.
Meanwhile this week I got 6 movie tickets completely free from T-mobile.
Att is so corny lmao trying everything to copy off tmobile
I guess a half way copy of T-Mobile is better than nothing.
I’m not sure this is even half, is it?
Very very poor copy of Tmo and not really a copy but an attempt. AT&T does not really want to thank anybody but is trying to stop people from leaving.
Not many people go to the movies by themselves, so many would see this as a better deal than T-Mobile because it’s available any day of the week, and there are no server issues to deal with.
Most people have more than 1 phone on the plan. The movies are just one of the thanks. Was pizzas, drinks, lyft rides, stock in the company, trips, parties, magazines, real movie tickets (Warcraft and Finding Dory, for me and wife), MLB stuff just to name a few. I think TMO way better.
You keep telling that.
Not close to half way. With this one you have to pay for something.
Even with T-Mobile Issues, waiting a couple hours to be able to claim it is still worth it. And a much better program
I totally agree, I love my Tmo. 1/10th of a copy? Probably less than that.
Looks like it’s only Regal and AMC theaters that are participating. Kind of SOL for me I’ve only got a Cinemark. Ugh, I was really looking forward to this.
Lol i guess this week is the week where other carriers try to catch up to T-mobile. Hilarious.
“There are no apps to download or server malfunctions to deal with.”
Those are fighting words right there! You have may Legere contact you directly filled with f bombs for that.
Bring it on, John!
But the difference is here it’s buy one get one free. Not free lol
