We say compare “select” Android phones in Google’s new phone gallery because they haven’t provided a comprehensive list of every single Android phone available. For whatever reason, Google has decided to feature certain phones from each carrier, leaving off some pretty major players like the Samsung Fascinate (our review). Is it the Bing?
For a little back story, the new “phone gallery” site used to be Google’s Nexus One store which we all know came to a screeching halt a few months back. This new service provides a pretty detailed look at a hand selected number of devices, and is actually a pretty great way to compare if you are in the market for a new phone. As you can see from the shot below, we pulled up the big 3 Droid devices.
Overall I really like the idea, even if the list of phones doesn’t feel complete.

Every other phone that's not on here (except old ones) is considered a NON-GOOGLE phone. (lol fascinate)

This has been done on http://www.PhoneArena.com for quite a while now and not just w/ Android phones.
I like. Great way to compare across providers as well. They should have a filter on Android version.
What's the difference between an Android phone with Google and one without?
Here is why it doesn't have all of them. From the Official Google Mobile Blog:
“all the phones in the gallery include Android Market, Google Search, and other Google Mobile services such as Gmail, Maps, and YouTube.”
Which means none of the phones that replace Google with Bing or Yahoo.
That's great! That means as long as they keep that page updated, we can use it as a way to check on new phones as they come out.
Edit: As an ongoing reference and comparison, not as breaking news. I know we'll hear about the new stuff here first.
