I’m in the market for a good device to replace my GTab 8.9. I love the size and weight of it, but loathe the Tegra 2 and tiny internal storage. The Note 8 looks intriguing, but they should bump that display up to at least 1600×900. And don’t give us a mushy Note 10.1-esque design . . . on any of these models.

Android is options and skinned devices are options…
I have a Galaxy Nexus and a Note 2 and I wouldnt change Touchwiz for Vanilla. You have the Nexus 10, 7 and 4, why every tablet or phone has to be a pure Android? That makes Android different to othes.
Now, skinned Android has a bigger market than Vanilla, because not everyone likes or looking for a Nexus.

I’d also really like to see pen input (with the wacom digitizer) more widespread, like on the Note series.

FWIW, I could see multi-window making its way into stock Android at some point — it kind of seems like a no-brainer, at least on a larger device, if you are pushing multi-tasking as a big feature.

The only 10″ tablets that I will ever buy are Transformer style with the keyboard dock (plus extra battery and ports), so unless they come out with something similar, I have no interest there. As far as 7″ goes, it would have to be significantly better than my Nexus 7 and at a very reasonable price to even consider replacing it yet.

Well to be fair, pretty much nobody does stock. So it would be more accurate to say Samsung’s skinned devices are destroying all the other OEM’s skinned devices. Those that do stock (*cough* Google *cough*), don’t spend anywhere near the same amount marketing it.

I do not like to use samsung phone but since using samsung galaxy tab I see love, it is a smart phone.i love galaxy tab 3

This is a good point, Samsung, LG and Sony are starting to toy around with meaningful additions to the OS. The additions themselves are compelling, but have to be weighed against losing upgrade speed and general responsiveness of the OS. Right now its not a hard decision for me, but if they keep adding really compelling stuff it become one.

Just as long as they put a higher res screen this time and not kill it with that garbage low res poop that is on the Galaxy note 10.1.. after having the N10,my eyes bleed when looking at anything else at store displays lol. =/

I don’t understand how the android fans… like yourself, on the Android Blogs say things like this. Get better at what? Samsung is destroying all other OEMS with their “Skinned” devices. If you’re in this camp, you’re probably going to root your device anyway. Just focus on the hardware/internals because Samsung isn’t changing anything software wise to please stock enthusiasts

I don’t mind skins in top of phones but If the software on a tablet isn’t Vanilla or close to then it’s a no go
