yeh i meant pc in the general sense. As in a real computer, not a tablet. I personally use OSX for my design work and Windows 8 for everything else.

As far as I remember, Surface Pro will not be selling till January. Secondly, gaming will NEVER match discrete GPU performance.

Everyone in the comments saying that a tablet cannot do everything a laptop can do, did you think to take in consideration the price? It is possible to get a high end 4+1 Tera 3 processor with a high end display for around $200. Try doing that on a PC….you would get a crappy Laptop / desktop from years ago that could barely turn on and off let alone be able to run high end games and browse the web at blazing fast speeds!

Uhh… if you have to access a PC to work with your tablet, then you still need a PC. So that makes a tablet really nothing more than an extension of your PC, not a separate device.

both my nvidia cards sucked, had to switch to a more pricier card to work better for pc games like cod and BF

NVDIA makes parts for both computers and mobile devices, making their opinion less biased.

They would probably still side with wherever the biggest profits are though.

0-60 has very little to do with performance in anything supercar. Some have special launch control that does it for you, but that doesn’t tell you how it will perform on a track (besides the 1/4 mile, somewhat). A Lotus has a low 0-60 but isn’t quick at high speeds because it doesn’t have the power to fight the air resistance. The corvette actually is an excellent handling car and the Z06 and ZR1 have impressive times on the Nurgurbring. The Ferrari’s are in a way more stupid proof in that turning at high speed and flooring it doesn’t actually give it full gas (which make people feel it’s easier to drive fast), but having the engine behind the driver means lifting off the gas while taking a corner fast ends with spinning out and crashing. There’s even a youtube video of an Elise going around a turn behind a S2000 and you hear him lift off the throttle and instantly the lotus spins and crashes – and it wasn’t going THAT fast.

In the end, Ferrari’s are cars that look fantastic and are overpriced as far as performance, but hold the exotic figure by being priced so high. If you are spending that kind of money and want a street legal track car, get a professionally built GTM or Ultima GTR

Yeah HD 4000 is a decent improvement and AMD APUs seem to offer good graphics performance, even though their CPUs are very unimpressive.

About the cars, you’re comparing a supercar to a sports car so it’s definitely not all about performance but in a straight line you may be right but I do believe the Ferrari handles much better (not that I’ve ever had the luck to drive one xD) and has a lower 0-60 so it should beat it in most circuits. I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree on this one ;p.

Jen-Hsun Huang has said a lot of things in his tour of nVidia. Plenty of it has been marketing spin crap. Then again, that’s the job; ours is to realize the spin for what it is.
