I wouldn’t hold my breath. Verizon’s inability to get an update out to customers in a timely manner is legendary. They like to hide behind notion of providing a “quality update” to excuse their disinterest in customer demands. I believe Verizon leaks these builds in the hope of quieting its more vocal customer base who don’t buy their excuses. Who wants to put money on a mid -February release…?

Leaks mean nothing folks this is not the final build anyway. Verizon won’t send any update till January or February. Updates don’t come fast on crappy Red. Ask Galaxy Nexus owners or Htc Thunderdud owners. Piss on Verizon..

There is a great guide on XDA that describes how to root, unlock the bootloader, flash a custom recovery , and install custom ROM’s to the VZW GS3. Easy as can be, mine’s been running CM10 for a while now. I highly recommend reading through it if you are unfamiliar with the process.

The bootloader only handles kernel not rom. Thus why people can flash roms on locked motor devices. Grab beans custom with the aroma installer. It has an option to rom with locked bootloader.

Have you tried aokp milestone 1? My gs3 is absolutely flawless on it. It’s truly amazing. I also get much better data connections.

What rom are you running? And no that’s not normal. There were some screen flicker issues with jb from both aokp and cm but they have been addressed in aokps latest milestone build. It should get a lot better now though, with this leak!

i have some bugs on my GS3,JB 4.1.1,the led indicator goes week and when my device re-boots the screen doesn’t work and stays black blank until it works ??? is that normal
PS: i have rest my device so the upgrade be fully operated.

Will this leak helps solve the issues with RIL/GPS and general stability that all the AOSP roms have? I hope we can have a fully stable AOSP rom on this phone.
