It’s more that I think Verizon won’t allow them to merge the two. Moto would likely already have used the Razr name on non-Verizon phones otherwise.

You are most likely correct. The RAZR X will be VZW’s version of the Moto Nexus. They will not release the Nexus on VZW. It will only be the locked-down, bloated, blurred device

OK here is my venture into the rumor, why not it’s just a rumor right. I envision the Razr X being a mid 5 inch phablet like the note 2, the “x” for Razr “extreme” The nexus could be the same chassis as the Razr or Maxx HD with 2 gig of ram, and a quad s4 pro. Thats my story and I’m stickin to it!
