this is why i hate and stay away from htc phones. u have to jump through hoops just to even root the phone and unlock the bootloaders and worse the s-off thing too. nexus or samsung the easiest

I can still flash ROMs and I can manually flash the boot.img from the ROM, but I can’t flash custom kernals. So if the ROM doesn’t have a kernal with CPU tweaking baked in (which most don’t because they assume you can flash a custom one) then I can’t tweak the CPU. But I still can use custom ROMs and de-sense/de-bloat my phone.

I don’t game though, so I really want to under-volt my CPU some and lower the minimum clock frequency so when it idles it uses less battery.

Welp. Now I owe money for the bounty.

Now if only someone could get S-Off. I still can’t flash kernals or radios from recovery, and I would love to underclock/undervolt my CPU.

Thank god I have a Nexus Device. I would hate to have to go through all this hassle just to install a rom.
