I had Sprint and traveled to many states.. in the cities and the country side. Sprint overall had the slowest data, and worst reception. AT&T was better, but with Verizon, I get a solid and consistent LTE signal. Speaking of battery life being bad on Verizon phones? I'd say no. Only if someone has gps and other features on. But using LTE/24 hours per day, I get 12-15 hours with heavy use on my Galaxy S3. This includes many phone calls, texts, music from YT, surfing the web for reading, being on forums, taking photos... By the way... Sprint waived my ETF in writing... then a few months later turned me into a collection agency for not paying the ETF. I forwarded on my documents where they told me it was waived, and all they did was laughed, and said they had the right to change their minds. Sprint = thieves!

I think I am going to stick to T-Mobile for the Note 2… T-Mobile is the
only carrier to offer an unlimited plan that actually has fast speeds, so I’ll
be upgrading to the Note 2 through them. Also, in many instances, my phone is
so much faster than one of my DISH coworker’s LTE phone from Verizon Sprint. We
like to use the DISH Remote Access app on our phones to stream live and
recorded shows using the Sling Adapter that’s connected to our receivers. With
how much his phone buffers, I can’t see the worth in paying so much. It’s nice
being able to stream when I want without worrying about hitting a data cap.

I can see the VZW presser for that now..."All phones with a screen size greater than 5.1 inches, initially released after today but before the holiday season concludes, are subject to an ETF that falls outside of our normal fee schedule. The new fee will be solely based on the discretion of Verizon Wireless and its affiliates (not to exceed $999), and is henceforth agreed to upon purchasing said phone..."

Or something like that...
