i’m sure this phone will sell, assuming it’s marketed to the right people. however, i find this release to be pretty darn boring. was really hoping for more. we need OEMs to make high end 4″-4.3″ phones for those of us that do not want the 4.7″+ models. there is a market for smaller screen devices that are not littered with low to mid range internals. the Razr M is clearly the winner at this point. i bought one an am enjoying thus far. but always welcome competition. just i wish Moto/VZW would allow us to unlock the damn bootloader. haha…

If Samsung were clever, they’d churn these out for $249 unlocked GSM. The market really needs a $249 out-right unlocked phone. It’d sell like hot cakes.

The problem with the RGBG layout of the Pentile AMOLED display is that this ppi number is overblow by a 4/3 factor – so it’s effectively a 175 ppi phone. The pixels will be pretty obvious with text. One look at a Razr M in store shows the same thing at 256 ppi… my old Dinc2 looks better with 240 ppi, but it has RGB at each subpixel.

Different price points. If they were the same price I would choose the M all day long. But I think it’s a moot point as the mini be everywhere but Verizon and the M will only be on Verizon.

This is a great phone option for some of the cheaper carriers like Cricket, Virgin, etc. Should be easy on the pocket to buy a decent device for the contract-free folks that pay out of pocket for their devices. I think it is a pretty smart move. Probably not designed to be a big hit with the “A” list carriers but this is a good offering for those “b” list folks.

Well LTE hasn’t been announced. I’m thinking this will land on T-Mobile…..A carrier Moto doesn’t really have a strong presence in.

I agree with what you’re saying but the Galaxy Nexus’ camera wasn’t as good as most other 5MP cameras or even 8MP ones. The higher MP count sometimes does hold a half truth.
