Great..So I got my new HTC One X four days ago, spent two phone calls to HTC as to why downloads don’t complete,and if they do it’s slow. Videos cant be played, WI-FI won’t connect today,and the only thing they tell ,me is to wait for an update sometime in October??? I had the HTC inspire last…LOVED it. This was supposed to be the improved model????

Good point – I didn’t care about LTE in a tablet, but it’s obviously huge in a phone. I wonder if/when NVIDIA will wise up and include LTE. Other than that, I think the Tegra 3 has just gotten a bad rap for no real reason. Real world performance and benchmarks on it have been great. Keep in mind that it’s already a year old, and there’s still no phone on the market with the S4 Pro, so it would make sense for the S4 Pro to be better. That said, I am really excited to see what the Adreno 320 can do!

Yeah, if HTC had released the One X+ with a microSD slot to go up against the S3, I think for most people, choosing the One X+ would have been a no-brainer decision.

No, it actually makes since for Verizon to skip this phone if the DIX is on its way. Think about it: the DIX has those same specs (supposedly) except a 5″ 1080p display and maybe the new quad A15 processor.

Exactly. They got killed by Samsung because the One X wasn’t quite up to par on internals. And they knew they had the One X+ in the pipeline. They might have been thinking “oh by releasing the One X+ later we can continue sales” but I feel they would have gotten more sales by putting this out first. And I know for a fact the storage turned some people to SGS3s. (including 2 of my friends)

It’s actually pretty stupid of HTC to even have released the One X to compete with the Galaxy S3 when the company had this One X+, which would have made it A LOT easier for customers to choose its product over Samsung’s…I just don’t get it.

You forgot to mention the main aspect that provides the gaming performance, and that’s the GPU. The US S4 version has the standard adreno 225 gpu, BUT the new s4 processors will come with double the cores and also with the new and unmatched adreno 320 gpu, which is 3 x faster than the adreno 225…and also s4 chips have a better battery saving features than tegra, which is MUCH needed in this device…so tegra cannot compete, until it releases its tegra 4 soc, which is next year, but by than every chip manufacturer will be running with the cortex A15 architectural chip…so its just all blown out of proportion…i’m just gonna wait for the 5 inch htc with over 440 ppi display, and of course s4 pro processor, to be announced…hopefully (wishful thinkig)…

Motley Linaro kernel is as stable as they come and makes the nexus 7 into a well balanced powerhouse. Love it. Great tablet for super casual use.
