The GNex is the only Android phone that I've kept for more than four months. All I ask is that there is an unlocked version available in the Play Store at the same time that it launches on the other carriers. I'll never use another non-Nexus handset, and I'll never sign another phone contract.

Yeah, as Android phone makers keep modeling their storage and battery off of the freedom killing iPhone selling model. I find it more and more disturbing, the number of Android users that find this practice exceptable, and not depressingly ironic. To each their own, but I'll never support something that removes freedom of choice from my Android phones, especially if it's main cause is manufacturer greed.

(edit for: typos)

Hmmmm, seeing as the Rezound has capacity for a 64GB SD card, in addition to the 16GB internal memory. Well, I don't think you are as far ahead in the "game", going by your standards, as you think you are. But it does make sense to not want the freedom to swap out storage at your leisure.

Let me guess, these were, or might have been "leaked" photos from an insider. Or better yet, some dumb@ss Samsung employee accidentally left the new Nexus at a bar somewhere, and this one dude found it and took some pictures with it?

Anyone who believes that in this day and age, that "leaked" pictures of new phones, or something like this, isn't carefully planned and scripted, and on a timetable to preceed the release of a new phone, and build hype online. Well, you need to reexamine the facts that are easily layed out in front of you. At this point I just find it insulting that these phone manufacturers find us customers this stupid or naive. Seriously what are the odds that every new phone would have "leaked" specs or pictures, every time. If it wasn't planned all along, yeah, I'd say incredibly miniscule. If you had a device you were building and you wanted to keep it under wraps before it was released. And every single time you were building a new phone, "somehow" pictures got put out of it, that you wouldn't eventually find the culprit? Haha! Yeah right! Not to mention that the people who have access to these devices, undoubtedly must sign non-disclosure agreements. Yet I never hear a news report talking about someone facing legal troubles, because they were caught leaking pictures of a device early. It is complete B.S. to believe this ever happens by chance anymore, it's pre-launch marketing.

You need the following:

1. A disposable smartphone data plan, dumb phone, or iPad.
2. 30 of patience if required.
3. A credit card.
4. Multiple myverizon logins, and all with account manager privaledges (can't spell.)
5. Somebody willing to give their grandfathered unlimited data.

Step one:

upgrade to the phone you want on said sacrificial/dumb phone/grandpa's iPhone line.

Step two:

active said phone with features you want on their line.

Step three:

Deactivate your own smartphone.

Step four:

Deactivate the sacrificial line(or suspend if that works too).

Step five:

Switch the phone you want to your account from the sacrificial account.
Step six:

reactivate grandpas iPhone/dumbphone in his line again WITHIN 14 DAYS.
IF YOU DO NOT ACTIVATE THE NEW DEVICE ON YOUR ACCOUNT WITHIN 14 DAYS INSURANCE GOES OUT THE WINDOW.

You can do this a MAXIMUM of once every thirty days per line.

For example you have 4 lines, you and the wife both want motonexus's and the only way to get them is to sacrifice little Johnnie's iPhone unlimited data.

This means you get your new motonexus one month, and your wife gets here's 30 days later.

30 days in between upgrades to make this work. And this has been verified by Verizon reps to work, and even endorsed by said individuals.

Attempt at your own risk, but do so cautiously.

Have fun.
